My name is Asmita Pokharal.

I have completed my higher secondary schooling in The Dilli Bazar

Multiple Campus, Dilli Bazar, Kathmandu, Nepal. I am planning to pursue my higher education and I
really hope to get enrolled into the PQP Business leading to MBA at James Cook University. In the
following paragraphs I have summarized my educational background, motivation for Graduate study and
my areas of interest.
Starting off with my academics, I completed my schooling in Shree Shakti Higher Secondary School,
Nepal. My school helped me develop better in the field of management, right from the initial stages and I
have secured 61.75% marks overall in 10th standard. For higher studies, I chose The Dilli Bazar Multiple
Campus, Dilli Bazar, Kathmandu for its great academic and its well known curriculum. There I had
chance to interact with students coming from different cultural background. I had chosen management
background with Account, economic and finance as well as English as my subjects. I had 47.40% in the
year. After the course completion, I joined Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) degree in Kings
College (affiliated to International American University, California, USA). After completion of the course
I wanted to pursue further studies on the same subjective i.e. Management. I chose The James Cook
University as an appropriate University for me as I wanted to obtain a foreign degree and this university
is among the best in Australia. I hope this decision gives me ample opportunity to consolidate my creative
energies aptitude.
I look forward to a career in Management where I cannot only use my academic background to achieve
my goals but also make original contributions to my field of interest. I believe that this course would
provide me with the opportunities to attend advanced courses and would be the stepping-stone to my
career in Management. This university suits my business interests because of its advanced academic
curriculum. I believe that it is the best environment for me to achieve my goals while gaining experience
and exposure to a diverse student body and faculty. I believe that no other universities provides students
with the combination of culture, education and practical environment, required for an overall personality
development, as offered by your University.
Summarizing all written above, I believe that my serious intention for study, my certifications and strong
academic background will be beneficial for my graduate studies and research. Attending your prestigious
university would give me an opportunity to receive high-level education under the guidance of prominent
professors and excellent teachers. I would regard my admission to James Cook University not only as a
great honor but also as a great responsibility and challenge to prove myself.
