QUICK PICKLED SALAMON with DILL SAUCE


3 lbs Salmon, sliced or filleted
2 onions
Cup Lemon Juice
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Sugar
2 capfuls Vinegar
Pickling Spice
Boil water, sugar, lemon juice, and vinegar. Add fish.
Cover, put on low flame 10 15 min. Slice onions
and line a pan with them. While salmon is hot, place on
onions in pan. Sprinkle pickling spice, and pour sauce
from pot, on to fish.
Dill Sauce for fish
Mayo
A touch of lemon juice
Dill
A blended Pickle (or pickle juice
VEGETABLE KISHKE
Cup Oil
2 stalks Celery
2 Carrots
1 onion
1 Cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons paprika
Pepper to taste
Blend ingredients. Pour onto foil sheets and wrap
to make rolls. Bake at 350 for 1 hours.
SWEET POTATO KUGEL
2 Cups Sweet Potatoes (cooked)
3/4 cup crushed pineapple
cup sugar
+ cup flour
cup oil (optional)
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
tsp almond extract
tsp cinnamon
Blend ingredients. Place in pan or pie crust.
Cover with topping. Bake at 350 for 50 min.
Topping for kugel

Blend:
cup brown sugar
cup flour
cup nuts
cup margarine
RHUBARB
1 package frozen rhubarb or fresh(peeled)
2-3 apples
1 package fresh or frozen Strawberries
to 1 cup sugar
Water
Boil enough water to cover 1 inch of pot. Put in
rhubarb and apples. Slant cover and let simmer
25 min. Add strawberries and cook another 5 min.
Stir in sugar.
CARAMELITAS
For cake mix:
1 cup flour
1 cup oats
Brown Sugar
tsp Salt
tsp baking soda
cup margarine
Chocolate chips
Pecans
Mix ingredients (except nuts and chocolate)
Place half the mix in Greased pan and
bake 10 min at 350. Sprinkle on chocolate chips
and nuts. Pour on cup of caramel mixture. Sprinkle
on remaining cake mix and bake another 10 min.
For Caramel Mix
1 cup sugar
cup milk or coffee rich
3 T flour
Put cup milk and sugar (unmixed)in small
pot on low heat. Once simmering, Increase
to medium/high. Swirl together. Reduce to low.
Add remaining cup of milk and whisk 5 min.
Add flour and stir.
CHOCOLATE BABKA
Dough:
6 cups flour
2 packages yeast
3 eggs
1 cup margarine or oil

1 tsp salt
tsp vanilla
cup sugar
cup apple juice
cup warm water
Mix and knead until smooth. Let rise 1 hour.
Filling
1 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
cup confect. Sugar
cup oil
cup boiling hot water
dark chocolate bits (optional)
Mix.
Crumbs
1 stick margarine
1 cup flour
cup sugar
Melt Margerine and mix.
Roll dough into a rectangle. Smear on chocolate
Filling. Roll the width (You want a LONG roll)
Slice roll into thick circles. Thickness depends
on pan Size. Fill up the pan, placing the circles
side by side. Cover with crumbs and bake at 350
for 45 min to an hour.
WHOLE WHEAT ROLLS
Mix and set aside:
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 cups warm water
3 packs dry yeast
Add:
4 cups whole wheat flour
6 cups flour
4 eggs
cup oil
1 cup sugar
cup honey
Knead. Let rise 1 hour. Shape and
Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
