and after the German Garrison had surrendered, with addressee´s name slightly erased,
endorsed "No Stamps Available" and, at left, "Togoland Field Force, Atakpame" mailed to
Clapham, London with fine strike of Lome/Togogebiet datestamp in black (7.9) and London
arrival in red (Sept 29). Message reads: "everything has gone alright with us here, have a
lot to tell you when I am more settled...". Extremely rare, Martin & Walton record just one
