PRODUCT: Golden Hills-Flor de Jamaica (Hibiscus Flower)


HISTORY: The Golden Hills company started up in 2009
out of Chicago. They export and distribute hibiscus flower
tea product in South America and Mexico, where its most
popular. Hibiscus flowers are usually sold in bulk. The
novelty of the Golden HIlls hibiscus tea product is that its
pre-packaged, conserving its flavor and freshness.
TARGET AUDIENCE: The target audience for the hibiscus
tea, is men and women, ages 25-40, which is the age
group with the highest number of coffee and tea drinkers.
They are college students and working professionals, with
social welfare, humanitarian interests, and speak English
as their primary language.

IDEA
The idea is to create an
innovative, contemporary
packaging for the Golden
HIlls brands tea line,
Puri-Tea. The new
packages design and
appearance will help retain
existing customers, and
also attract new users.
Why this design? The
redesigns modern look
helps it keep up with
other brands' design.
The design will show
loyal users that the brand
is always evolving, while
showing potential buyers a more fresh-looking
product than the rest of
the competition.

LOGO SIZE: The logo on the bag uses a 43 point
font. That is the recommended size for the logo, since
its typography-based. This size will make the logo
more legible and recognizable.
LOGO PLACEMENT: The logo works best centered
on the top por tion of the bag. This is the best spot on
the bag for hierarchy and focus. Its also placed there,
so that the triangular window fulfills its purpose of
pointing directly to the logo above.

PREPARATION
1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
1 cup sugar - add more less for taste
8 cups cold water

PURI-TEA

Sift through dried flowers for stems and discard.


Place dried hibiscus in cold water and allow to sit
for 1-2 days, or until the color has faded from the
flowers. Strain the juice through a fine sieve. Add
sugar, and stir.
