URES
GENERAL
L:
The health risks of the pro
oduct are main
nly at detonatio
on, and may ca use severe phyysical injury, in
ncluding death.

Minimal health risk with sealed unit.

Remove affected patient from polluted area. Never give an unconscious person anything to drink or eat. Observe
allergic reactions to the skin. Medical personell must avoid exposure, also when handling patient. Use personal
protective equipment, see chap. 8.
INHALATION:
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen.
SKIN CONTACT:
Wash immediately with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing.
EYE CONTACT:
Not a likely route of exposure.
In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes (remove contact lenses, key
eyelid apart) and get medical attention if irritation persists.
INGESTION:
Not a likely route of exposure.
DO NOT induce vomiting.
Wash out mouth with water. Give 1-2 glass of water or milk to drink. Never give an unconscious person anything to
drink or eat.
INFORMATION TO HEALTH PERSONEL:
Giftinformasjonssentralen (the Poison Control Center) can give information about the chemicals toxicity and treatment
of poisoning. Phone: 22 59 13 00.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

SUITABLE EXTINGUISH MEDIA:
Extinguish surrounding fires with suitable extinguisher.
UNSUITABLE EXTINGUISH MEDIA:
Do not fight fires involving Igniters, risk ofexplosion.
Contains both oxidizer and fuel and cannot be readily extinguished.
Fire fighting should be limited to preventing spread of other fires.
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS:
The product is exsplosive by friction, impact, and heating.
PERSONAL PROTECTION WHEN FIREFIGHTING:
Firefighters shall wear breathing apparatus.
SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES:
Containers in the proximity of fire should be moved or cooled with water.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS:
Use protecting gear, see chapter 8. Prevent friction. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Remove sources of ignition,
avoid static electricity. Clean-up should be handled by competent explosives handler/response personnel.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
CLEANING MEASURES:
Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Isolate area and remove sources of friction, impact, heat, low level
electrical current, electrostatic or RF energy. Evacuate, including emergency responders in all directions.
The product is hazardous waste and should be transferred to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an
appropriate method(See sect. 13).

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Explosive by friction, impact, and heating.
Only competent, experienced persons should handle the product.
HANDLING:

Eyewasher and shower must be available. Use protective gear, see chap. 8. Remove all potential ignition sources.
Prevent friction, impact, and heating. Keep away from fire and warm objects. Use sparkproof tools. No smoking.
STORAGE:
Store away from oxidizers (as nitric acids, nitrates, chlorates, acids and alkalines). Store in cool, well ventilated area
in original containers. Do not store together with potential igniters. Storage temperature: +5 C to +50 C, max. 65 %
rel. humidity. Shelf life: 5 years at recommended storage conditions.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

EXPOSURE CONTROL:
A shower and eye-wash equipment should be found at the work place. Use protecting gear, see chapter 8. Prevent
friction. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Remove sources of ignition, avoid static electricity. Clean-up should be
handled by competent explosives handler/response personnel.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:
Respiratory protection not normally required. In poorly ventilated room use filter A2/P3-filter (Organic gas and dust).
EYE PROTECTION:
Use approved safety goggels when handling unexploded materials.
HAND PROTECTION:
Regular working gloves.
SKIN PROTECTION:
Use suitable protective clothing if risk of direct contact. Use sparkproof shoes.
