1. DEFINITION
Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a process where all hazards associated with each step of a
job are identified and control measures are put in place to minimize the risk to personnel,
environment and property.

Identify simple steps and the order in which they will be performed.

Try to limit the steps. If there are more logical steps, consider breaking the
major task into two or more task for analysis e.g. operating a rollformer is too
big a task for one Job Safety Analysis. It needs to broken down into :
