As a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Technical Advisor, you will be part of
Power Products Division and High Voltage business unit based in Dammam.

Tasks
Your duties & responsibilities are as follows:The scope of work of GIS Supervisor cover all the activities /
actions required to enable switching systems to be
successfully installed, repaired and any faults eliminated. The
Supervisor is responsible for installation of high voltage
systems worldwide for PTHS. He/she represents ABB in
general through his presence and technical knowledge and
PTHS specifically in dealings with the client at the installation
site. The deadlines issued for each project are adhered to,
whereby the cost-performance ratio must always be borne in
mind in this respect. He/she embodies the ABB QA
philosophy, taking into account the special conditions on the
construction sites. Furthermore,
1. The GIS-Supervisor is responsible for the installation work
entrusted to him being carried out in perfect technical order
2. He carries out installation and maintenance work
independently
3. He is responsible for ensuring compliance with the

installation requirements and Instructions &ensures that the

necessary accident prevention measures are observed;
specifically,he abides by the guidelines for work on live
system components.
4. Shall be responsible to red-mark drawings/documents with
any changes or modification that became necessary during
the installation.
5. Advice the sub-suppliers installation superintendent in
planning and coordination of the work force necessary to
comply with the schedule.
6. Cooperation with ABB Project Manager on establishing
status of completed and non-completed work
7. Inspection of arriving material for completeness and
possible damage and coordination of material handling in
cooperation with sub-suppliers Material Control within
sub-suppliers procedures.
8. Issue of non-conformance reports for damage or missing
equipment within ABB scope of supply in cooperation with
ABB Project Manager

9. Supervise final installation tests and ABB installation

completion documentation
10. Supervise and coordinate the loop check activities.&
Participation at site meetings as requested by the ABB-CH
Project Manager
11. Responsible for the competence execution of his tasks.
12. As an Employee, you shall also carry out any tasks that
are assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job
requirements.
Requirements
Ideally you'll hold a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or
High Diploma
Previous service experience working with GIS preferred.
Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling
ABB-CH GIS Product knowledge preferred.
Speaking & writng English language is a MUST.
