ABOUT THE 2GIG GO!CONTROL SYSTEM


Dependingontheoptionssetduringtheinstallation,the2GIGGo!Controlsystemhastheabilitytoprovidethreeformsof
protection:burglary,fire,andemergency,Thesystemconsistsofthe2GIGControlPanel,wirelesssensorsforperimeterand
interiorburglaryprotection,andwirelesssmokeandcarbonmonoxidedetectors.Inaddition,optionalremotecontrolkey
fobs,wirelesspanicbuttons,andkeypadsmayalsobeinstalled.
Thesystemmonitorsallprotectionsensortypes(a.k.a.,zones)andthesystemsstatus.TheControlPaneldisplays
monitoringinformationandcontrolsthealarmsiren.Thesystemcanalsobesetuptosendalarmandstatusreportstoa
CentralStationandhasthecapabilityfortwo(2)wayvoicecommunicationswiththeRemoteServiceProvider(RSP).
Whenasecuritysystemisinstalled,insurersmayofferdiscountsonthehomeownersorrentersinsurancepolicy.Although
therequirementsanddiscountcreditsvaryforeachdifferentinsurer,userscangenerallysavemoneyasthelevelof
protectionincreases.Itisrecommendedthatyouinformtheendusertocheckwiththeirinsuranceagenttodetermineif
theinsurerhasspecificrequirementsand/oroffersanydiscount(s).

Installing the System in Residential Settings


Wheninstallingthesysteminaresidentialsetting,beawareofthefollowing:
Firewarningsystemsmustbeinstalledinaccordancewithnationalcodes.IntheUnitedStates,firewarning
systemsmustbeinstalledinaccordancewithANSI/NFPA72NationalFireAlarmandSignalingCodeandANSI/NFPA
70NationalElectricCode.
Apermitmayberequiredforthisalarmsystem.Somecitiesandmunicipalitiesmayrequireanalarmsystem
permit.Beforeinstallingthissystem,alwaysensurethatyouareincompliancewithanynational,regional,andlocal
laws,rules,and/orguidelines.
Thissystemisintendedforusewithapprovedmodelsmokealarmsonly.Foruseasasmokealarmsystem,there
mustbeatleastone(1)smokealarmprogrammedintotheControlPanelandmustuseonlyapprovedmodelsmoke

Installing the System in Commercial Settings


Wheninstallingthesysteminacommercialsetting,beawareofthefollowing:
Thesystemcannotbeusedforfireprotectionincommercialsettings.Inacommercialsetting,itisimportantto
knowthattheControlPanelisneitherdesignednorintendedforuseasafireprotectionsystem.
Thesystemisintendedonlyforsecurityprotectionofpremises.Inacommercialsetting,thissystemisonly
intendedforprotectionofcommercialpremises,suchasamercantileoroffice.Itisneitherdesignednorintended
toprotectcommercialbankvaults.
Apermitmayberequiredforthisalarm.Somecitiesandmunicipalitiesmayrequireanalarmsystempermit.
Beforeinstallingthissystem,alwaysensurethatyouareincompliancewithanynational,regional,andlocallaws,
rules,and/orguidelines.

receivemessages,includingsevereweatherwarnings.
QuickAccess.Theonetouchaccessbuttonsallowthequickesthelppossibleinanemergency.Thefrontpanel

buttondisplaysemergencyiconsonthe

2GIG900MHzTransceiverModule.itsendsandreceivessignalswithwirelesstouchscreenkeypadsandimage
sensors.Touchscreenkeypadsallowremotecontrolofthesystemthroughthesamegraphicinterfacedesignasthe
2GIGControlPanel.Notethatthe2GIG900MHzTransceiverModule,touchscreenkeypad,andimagesensorare
onlyavailableinsomeregions.
2GIGWirelessTouchScreenKeypad.Awallmounted,fullcolor,touchscreeninterfacethatprovidesmanyofthe
sameeasytousekeypadfunctionsavailableontheControlPanel.Itisdesignedforindooruseonlyandgivesusers
theabilitytocontrollights,thermostats,anddoorlocks,aswellastoviewthestatusofeverysensorzone.When

cellularmoduleonlyoveralandline(insteadofcellular),suchastwo(2)wayvoicecommunicationwiththeremote
monitoringservice.
2GIGGo!BridgeIPCommunicator.TheGo!BridgeprovidesInternetconnectivitybetweenthemonitoringservices
CentralStationandtheGo!ControlPanel(requiresthe2GIG900MHzTransceiverModuleandsupportsautomatic
firmwareupdates,providesinteractivesecurityservices,andincreasessupervisionusingsignalforwardingtothe
CentralStation.
2GIGSuperSwitchTakeoverModule.Thetakeovermodulecommunicateswiththe2GIGControlPanelandis
designedtoconvertuptoeight(8)prewiredzonestosupervisedwirelesszones.
2GIGHardwireConversionKit.Thiskitprovidesinstallerswithaneasywaytoconvertthezonesofaprewired
securityalarmsystemto2GIGwirelesszones.Thekitincludesone(1)SuperSwitchTakeoverModule(Wireless
TakeoverofanAlarmSystem,USPatentNo.8,638,218).Youcanalsoinstalltwo(2)additionalmodules,which
providesinstallerswiththecapabilitytoconvertupto24prewiredsecurityzonestowirelesszones.

Eachsensor(wirelessorwired)installedinthesystemis
programmedtoaspecificsensornumberandsensortype
(zone).
Thesensornumberidentifiesthespecificsensorwhenitis
displayedontheControlPanel,recordedintheeventlog,
orreportedtotheCentralStation.Thisallowspinpoint
informationaboutanysensorinthesystem.
ThesensortypedetermineshowandwhentheControl
Panelrespondstosignalsfromthesensor.Somesensors
arearmedallthetime,othersarearmedonlyincertain
arminglevels,somecauseCentralStationReportsanytime
theyareactivated.Thesensorstype,alongwithother
programmingoptions,determinethis.
(00) Unused
Thisisthesettingforunusedsensornumbersthatdonot
haveasensorprogrammedintothem.Nosystemaction
occursatanytimefromthissensortype.
(01) Exit/Entry 1
Thissensortypeisreservedfordoorsthatareusedforexit
andentryoftheprotectedpremises.Whenthesystemis
armedintheStayorAwaymode,theexitdelaytimer

(04) Interior Follower
Thissensortypeisforinteriorsensorssuchasmotion
detector,interiordoors,andothersensorsthatdetect
humanpresenceinsidetheprotectedpremises.Thistype
ofsensoriscalledafollowerduetoitsactionwhenthe
systemisarmedintheAwaymode.Aftertheexitdelay
expiresandthesystemisarmed,ifaninteriorfollower
sensoristriggered,aninstantalarmwilloccur.Ifanexit/
entrydelaysensoristriggeredfirst,theinteriorfollower
sensorwillalsobedelayed.
Interiorfollowersensorsarealwaysbypassedandnot
activewhenthesystemisarmedinStaymode.Thisallows
thepremisestobeoccupiedwhilestillprotectingthe
perimeter.

Thissensortypeisthesameasaperimeterzone,except
