Overhead Distribution Cutouts

Product

Description
Distribution cutout for use on
overhead distribution system to
provide overcurrent protection
Fuse tube interchangeable with
S&C Type XS, Cooper Type L,
and AB Chance Type C cutouts
ICX

15 kV 38 kV, up to 16 kA
Outdoor loadbreak switch that
can be used as a fused cutout
for distribution systems
Loadbreak interruption is
accomplished by means of a
self contained loadbreak arc
chute which confines the arc
and provides a deionizing action
15 kV 27 kV, up to 16 kA

15 kV 38 kV, up to 20 kA

Application

Options

Enclosed cutouts in porcelain

housing
Designed for either dropout or
non-dropout operation

Product

Description

Application

Provides visible indication of

fuse operation and a visible
break sectionalizing point for
maintenance personnel

Silicone rubber insulator (110 180 kV BIL) or polymer concrete insulator (110 & 125 kV
BIL)

Single insulator disconnect with

a double blade door and two 2hole extended NEMA pad terminals

Single-phase disconnect on
overhead distribution feeders
and in outdoor distribution substations.

Can function as a loadbreak

switch when used in conjunction
with a portable loadbreak tool

Stainless steel seacoast design

15 kV 38 kV, 600 or 900 A

continuous loads with a 40 kA
momentary rating

Provides overcurrent protection

for capacitor banks and gives
visible indication that the equipment is energized

Silicone rubber insulator (110 180 kV BIL) or polymer concrete insulator (110 & 125 kV
BIL)

Can be mounted like a standard

cutout: underhung, mounted
directly on a pole for use as a
disconnect between overhead
and underground lines, or as a
visible disconnect for maintenance of line equipment

Used for switching the magnetizing currents of single and threephase transformer banks and to
switch capacitive currents associated with underground feeder
cable at the riser pole

Cutout/arrester combination

Loadbreak single insulator disconnect with self-contained

loadbreak capabilities, a double
blade door, and two 2-hole
NEMA pad terminals

Single-phase disconnect on
overhead distribution feeders
and in outdoor distribution substations

Provides visible indication of

fuse operation and a visible
break sectionalizing point for
maintenance personnel

Polymer concrete insulator

(110 & 125 kV BIL)

Cutout/arrester combination
Emission Control Device (ECD)

Used in replacement applications in close spaces where

there are increased safety
needs
