Time and space , definition and commonly made mistakes

To start with this , we need some basic information ,gathered by scientists . So

me of this information is scientifically proven , while some of it it`s still hy
pothesized , but with strong evidence to support it. So we will start with time.
Time, as proven by scientists , exists everywhere in the universe ,but not ever
ywhere is the same. Things like gravitation can have an impact on time ,slowing
it down or speeding it up . So what is time ,basically. We use time to keep trac
k of our everyday activities, to be precise when measuring stuff and to be able
to arrange meetings and gatherings amongst us. So time is an essential tool that
we are dependent on to survive. So maybe that is why we think at time like some
thing complex and with hidden secrets , because we cannot bear to think that som
ething simple and calculated can be of that much necessity to us. But time can b
e defined as something as simple as the smallest change in matter , from one sta
te to the next, as the smallest unit of time possible. Of course , it is very di
fficult, if not impossible right now to measure the smallest possible change of
state in matter , so we had to improvise , and to use units from it that we can
measure. Like the ticking of a clock , that is one change of the seconds hand on
the clock. Of course ,that method is used since a long time ago, and now we are
able to measure time more accurately , by measuring the vibration of a cesium a
tom , and that is how atomic clocks work. This only goes to prove that the small
est unit of time possible is the smallest change in matter possible, making time
basically just the succession of changes in matter , at the smallest levels , t
hat ultimately lead to big events. I said earlier that time can be affected by g
ravity , and that is because gravity acts at the smallest levels too. Just like
when you want to push two magnets with the same polarity together , the stronger
the magnets, the stronger is the force required to push them together, also the
stronger the gravity field is , the harder is for matter to change states in or
der to create time. So in essence, if you would theoretically have an infinite p
oint of gravity , the matter would not be able to move , thus stopping time.
Okay , now that I(hopefully) gave you an idea about what time really is
, we can move forward to space , and take a look at that. When we think of space
, what comes to mind is the place where objects around us are placed. Phrases li
ke put it back in it`s place , I rented a space or I need some space trick our mi
ds into thinking that space is something that has a delimitation , something tha
t can be measured and put between limits. But despite common belief , space is n
ot a thing that can be measured , or toyed with . Space is simply somewhere wher
e something can happen. People often ask about universe...okay if the universe i
s expanding into space ,as scientists believe, where did this space came from .
Well this is exactly the problem, our way of thinking that space is some THING ,
makes us believe that it must have come from somewhere , and also have a beginn
ing and an end. But space is not something , its more like somewhere.Okay, let me
try to explain that. So right now the universe ocupies...a certain amount of sp
ace. To make it easier to understand ,let`s say the universe is 10 km wide, from
one edge to the other. So what is beyond that point ?! Is there space beyond it
?! Well , to answer that, lets take one more look at the definition of space. W
hat is , in essence , space ?! Space is a place where something has, is or going
to happen . You can only talk about a place in space as the events that have ta
ken place , are taken place or will take place there. You can point to a place a
nd say there is where i had my first kiss , so you are not actually describing th
e place, but you are describing the events that took place there in that place a
t a certain point in the past. So in order for a place to be called space, time
must be entered into the equation . In conclusion , a place where nothing has ev
er happened , nothing happens or nothing will happen cannot be called space. In
fact , that is in essence the definition of nothing. Let`s get back to our 10 km
wide universe now. If this universe is only 10 km wide, is there space at 15 km
away from the center ?! Well ,yes, it is. Because even though the universe expa

nded only 10 km wide, and nothing is or has ever happened beyond that point, we
cannot know for sure that nothing will ever happen in the future. And because of
this unknown factor , even though we cannot see or go there ,we still have to c
all it space. To be more clear, let`s take a point 15 km away from the center of
our 10 km wide universe. There is nothing there , and since the beginning of th
e universe nothing happened there. Now let`s take a spaceship and go there . As
we get there , are we in a place ?! Do we occupy space ?! Of course we do . Not
only that we created space in the place that we are , we also created space on
the trail that we went to get there. Why ?! Because in that moment when we went
there , we created not only a place in space ,but also a timeline. Now at any mo
ment we can point to that place, or that trail , and say 10 years ago , trough h
ere passed the spaceship that went to that place . Not only that ,but people in
the past could point to the same place or path ,and say there, in 10 years , our
ship will pass to get to that point . In walking that path , we are creating a t
imeline that has no beginning and no end. Because we cannot know for sure that a
ny kind of matter wont get to a place beyond the place where outter matter is ri
ght now , everywhere around us there is space.
But because there is nothing there yet, and there is no guarantee there will eve
r be something there, we like to call that space.empty space.
