Have you ever thought about how important earths water resources are for all the living

beings on this planet? Every person on this planet knows very well how important water
is but still the pollution and number of garbage thrown in the water is increasing.
Without water every being on the planet will die. Except for the fact that we need to drink
water to survive the plankton in the water is also responsible for the air we breathe. If we
pollute the water, we kill the plankton and if we kill the plankton the air will be full of
toxin which will kill every living being. Not many people know that the plankton in the
water is responsible for half of earths O2. The plankton in the water absorbs up to 45
billions tons of carbon dioxide every year also transferring up to 16 billions to the bottom
of the ocean. The overpopulation of earth, the changes in the clime and also the extended
drought are also placing very much pressure on earths infinite resources of water.
Another fact which is causing pollution is the oil overflows in both ocean and seas.
The overflowed oil contains many hydrocarbons which affects marine communities for a
very long period of time. The oil overflowing affects not only the marine communities
but also bird species like seagulls.
Over time the oil overflows triggered many ecological disasters. The oil which is
insoluble in water and much more lighter was unable to be fully picked out of the water
leaving stains in the seas and oceans which lasted for years. Sometimes because of the
heavy storms the rescue barges were unable to arrive at the place were the overflow took
place. Even though in happy cases the oil was somehow managed to be taken out of the
water, the one which remained leaved thick stains which flowed at the surface of the
water affecting the surrounding flora and fauna. To clean the waters of the discharged oil
the first measure which can be taken is isolating the zone using rescue barges. If the
pumps located on the vessels are functioning and there are undamaged containers the oil
can easily be removed by pumping and restocking.
We must also reduce our carbon dioxide emissions. Because of the large quantity of
carbon dioxide the waters acidity level is growing higher and higher. If we dont cut our
carbon dioxide emissions in half by the year 2050 the oceans will reach a record level of
acidity. If this continues the shells and corals will start to disintegrate because of the
acidity and the coast guard, food resources and local economies will suffer very much.
We must also consider the problem of trash which is thrown into the water. The level of
garbage people throw in the water has drastically increased compared to the past years.
Many people these days throw theyre garbage in the waters without even thinking about
the consequences that may occur. Because of the increasing number of garbage the water
species suffer very much many types of fish dying because of the gigantic masses of
garbage which are flowing at the surface of the water.
If we dont stop all these actions we will soon enter on a road with no turning back.
We must put an end to the oil overflows and all the garbage which is thrown into the sea
and start recycling water otherwise earths life will soon come to an end.
