KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD

TINTABLE COATING FOR CONCRETE, MASONRY, GYPROCK,
PLASTERBOARD & RENDER WALLS

KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD is an ultra premium low VOC low odour acrylic come with low sheen and
matt finish. It is suited to broad wall areas on render, concrete, fibre cement, masonry and brick. Ultracryl
has low environmental impact, containing less than 5 grams per litre of VOC ( Volatile Organic
Compounds) allowing the classification Low VOC. Reduced emissions can be demonstrated to be
beneficial where rooms are occupied by persons who may suffer from respiratory complaints.

SURFACE PREPARATION
New Work - Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free of contaminants, including dirt, grease, mould
and mildew. Allow new render, concrete to cure for a minimum of 28 days prior to application of one coat
KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD prior to topcoating. Sand new timber prior to the application of one coat
KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD prior to topcoat. For Gyprock/ Wallboards/ Fibre Cement/MDF, apply one
coat of KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD prior to topcoating.

PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACE

Make sure the old coating are sound without any blistering or lifting and free of contaminants. Remove all
loose paint and check for adhesion and dust down. Repair any damaged area/s with appropriate filler, sand
smooth, dust down, apply one coat of KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD to the repaired area/s prior to
topcoating.

APPLICATION
Do not dilute with water. The product are recommended for brush, roll and spray application. For spray
application the recommended system is an airless spray system using a piston pump. The recommended
spray tip is a 19 to 21 thou (thousands of an inch) fan type. The pump can be electric or driven by compressed
air, and needs to produce a pressure of about 3000 psi.

WARRENTY
10 years again cracking, peeling & blistering where the product has been applied according to manufacturers
displayed directions and in accordance with AS2311, the painting of buildings. If it doesnt deliver, we will
replace the product free of charge to repaint the defected area. This guarantee does not cover paint failure
caused by any breakdown of coatings applied previously.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not apply KODEX ECO EXTERIOR SHIELD below 10C ambient. Do not apply above 30C or in hot windy
conditions, or if rain is likely within 6 hours. In summer apply in the cooler part of the day. Be sure coating is
cured before contact with water. Wash equipment with water before dry. Do not expose to solvents. Clean
periodically to maintain surface and re-coat when necessary.
CLEANUP Use fresh water before material has set. Soften cured material with mineral turps.
SAFETY Avoid breathing vapours and contact with skin and eyes.

FIRST AID: In case of contact rinse immediately with plenty of water .

SPILLS: Contain spill and prevent entry into to waterways. Refer to Kodex Safety Datasheet before use.
