New Campus

Saint James is pleased to announce the

opening of its third campus located on the
Caribbean island of St. Vincent. With the
launch of its new campus, Saint James now
has three campuses located in Bonaire,
Anguilla, and St. Vincent, the largest of the
group of islands that make up the St. Vincent
and the Grenadines (SVG). Saint James
School of Medicine SVG opened its doors to
its first class of 17 students supported by 6
faculty and staff members on May 6th. We
extend them a hearty welcome to the Saint
James family. Saint James is proud to be the
only Caribbean medical school with 3 campus

is teaching Physical Diagnosis and Clinical

Correlation of the Basic Sciences. Dr. Malecki
will be teaching Pharmacology. Dr. Sterling
is teaching Genetics and Biochemistry.
Dr. Damuni is teaching Biochemistry and
Physiology. Dr. Roche is teaching Histology
and Epidemiology and Dr. Bhowmick is
teaching Genetics and CCBS.
At our new St. Vincent campus we have three
faculty members who have joined and one who
will be joining soon. Violeta Nikolova, M.D.
who transferred from our Bonaire campus is
the Dean. Dr. Nikolova and Jugesh Khanna,
MBBS are qualified to teach several subjects.
Dr. Nikolova is scheduled to teach Embryology
and CCBS and Dr. Khanna is scheduled to
teach Anatomy. Rosmond Adams, M.D. is
teaching Ethics and Ganapathi Pillay, PhD
who will be joining shortly is scheduled to
teach Histology.
All of our new faculty members come with
several years of clinical practice and teaching
and/or research experience. Please welcome

Residency Match

Saint James has recently welcomed several

new faculty members in our campuses.
Saman Bentota, M.D. joined the Bonaire
faculty. Dr. Bentota is teaching Microbiology
and Dr. Gawande teaches Genetics and
Physical Diagnosis.
At our Anguilla campus we have welcomed six
new faculty members. Gianna Scannell, M.D.,
Marek Malecki, M.D., PhD, Kenneth Sterling,
PhD, Zahi Damuni, PhD, Hector Roche, M.D.,
PhD, Zahi Damuni, PhD, Hector Roche, M.D.,

class faculty, the Bonaire, St. Vincent and
Anguilla campuses now have new school
logos. The logos were designed to support
the Saint James School of Medicine logo,
but give a personal identity to each campus
using the schools individual crests and accent
colors. This is just one more way to provide
each SJSM campus with a distinctive identity
and personality to match unique experience a
