This proposal will serve as an initial basis for discussion with your supervisor and as a start into your final
project. Although you should expect the ideas to be considerably refined over the first few weeks of term, the
supervisor and module leader will need to be satisfied that the proposal constitutes a manageable project of
academic value which can be accomplished in the time available. The project proposed must normally have
elements of literature review and primary data collection and analysis. You must also choose a subject which is
related to your degree programme. Although we will interpret related as broadly as possible, we may reject a
subject title if it does not relate to the aims and learning outcomes of your programme. Your project supervisor
and programme leader will be able to advise you on this.
This proposal is submitted to the University of Sunderland for final approval, but it is suggest getting it
internally approved by your supervisor first. Make sure your boxes are ticked appropriately!

Climate change has affected not only the temperature nor weather; it has also changed over a very
long period. These changes are also affected the natural ecosystem, global economy, tourism
industry, cultural and religious, human health risks, animals habitant and many others. The reason
I choose this topic as my research project is to identify the effects of climate change in tourism
industry. Besides that, climate change would also influence the decision making of the visitors.
Therefore, I will be interview tourists regarding of how they aware of climate change and their
decision making for choosing a destination.

Research aims and objectives
Aims:
1) To identify the importance of climate change in tourism industry.
2) To find out the attitude and decision making of tourists for choosing a destination.
Objectives:
1) To identify the advantages and disadvantages of climate change in tourism industry.
2) To understand the perception of tourists for choosing a destination.

Survey:
To find out the tourists perception towards climate change in tourism industry (estimated 100 respondents to
be responded the survey and majority would be local tourists as well as foreign tourists). There will be
approximate 25 questions would be conduct in the questionnaire which is including the personal details and
the perception towards climate change.
Interview:
By interviewing the management site and tourists regarding the perception of climate change and to know
more on their attitude and decision making for choosing destination.
