COURSE DESCRIPTION
This subject is to provide knowledge and experience to students on
microprocessor and microcomputer system operation. It also includes the
design, programming and interfacing of a microcomputer system.

Software Systems and Assemblers
Microprocessor-Based Software Development system, Operating
system, and Assemblers.
Introduction to Assembly Language and Programming
Programming model, Addressing modes, Instruction set. How to
write, assemble and execute assembly language programs.
Introduction to 16-bit Microprocessor
Instructions and Programming Techniques; Data copy operation,
Arithmetic Operations, Branch Operations, Instruction related to
Index Registers, Programming Techniques: Looping, Counting and
Indexing. Flow charts in program design.
Logic and Bit Manipulation Instruction
Logic and Compare Operations, Rotate (Shift) Operations and Bit
Manipulation.
Memory And I/O interfacing
Serial and Parallel I/O Techniques
