Process

The photo backgrounds were designed and executed in

Photoshop using layer masks, adjustment layers, and opacity
adustments. The logo was drawn in Illistrator using the
Devanagari Sangam MN font and the shape building tool. The
images and typewriter font were found online through the
google search engine. Every thing in the end were organized
and layed out in InDesign

Objectives

Design a logo for a company or personal image.

Layout consistant and matching business card and letterhead.

Process

The PJ logo was designed in Illistrator. Instead of manipulating

a font to create the logo., it was drawn using the shape
tool, shape builder tool, and pathfinder palette to create
the initial shape. Then using the line tool to cut the P and J
and the pixelate effect to jagged bleeding look between the
two letters. Laid out of the stationary and business card in
InDesign. The line tool was used to create clean professional
lines. To imrpove the design a border was added to the
business card to create a box around the logo.

Montage
Description

An inspirational quote depicted by an earger traveler blind to

the dangers they are going to find.

Objectives
Become familiar with the layer masks and blending modes in
Photoshop.

Process

In Photoshop there were seven assorted unrelated images

were combined together. There is a duplicate of the sky
picture that was then flip vertically and blended into the sea to
create the the reflective surface. Using the lasso and cutting
function the other images were then brought in organized.
Using layer masks, blending modes and image adjustments the
whole montage came together.

Imaging
Description

A picture and design to accompany a quote about film making.

Process

The design was done in photoshop. Four basic edits were

applied on to the picture. Then a tone adjustment and a texture
screen to give it a old filmy look. Along with using square
shapes to create the iris blades of a camera lens.

Description

The flier is designed to encourage graduating students to go to the leadership conference.

Learn the basic tools and layout od Adobe InDesign

Process

The flier was designed by using the shape tool and

gradient tool. The text was provided by the client
along with the image and logo. Improvements that
were made were in the alignmet of the text at the
top and in the black bar. Trinagles were used to
provide a strong professional design and conduct
the flow of the design.

Objectives

Learn the basic tools in Adobe Illistrator.

Understand how to design logos.

Process

The program that was used was Adobe Illustrator. The tools
used the most were the rectangle and pen tools to really draw
out each logo. The skills applied were masking and spacing.
What made the process easier was taking pictures of the
sketches and then drawing out each logo on the the art board
until there was enough to delete the picture.

This ad is to help promote the charity hike to raise money for

Process

The design layout was done in Microsoft Word. The picture

is a scanned photo from 2008 taken in on the Denny Creek
trail in Colorado, at the foot of Mt. Yale where the event will
take place. The FOCUS principles of repetition, and and color
where used to unify the design.
