Executive Summary
KBs Specialty Gift Shop is a start up gift shop that offers a variety of special items. KBs Specialty Gift
Shop will be located in the downtown area of Clarksdale, MS and cater to all level of customers. The store
will open Monday thru Saturday from 9am-6pm. KBs Specialty Gift Shop will offer both friendly
atmosphere and superior customer service in a convenient location. My ultimate desire is to give my
customers the satisfaction they want by providing them with a unique quality of service at an affordable
price. Even though I am knowledgeable in the retail industry, I do however have approximately ten years of
customer service experience. I am taking managerial classes at a local university as well. My education
collaborated with my outstanding customer service experience would be my driving force to manage my
daily operations of my store effectively.
1. KBs Specialty Gift shop offers gift basket and accessories. I am knowledgeable of the retail
industry and possess ten years of customer relations experience. I hope to achieve a strong
reputation as a professional woman as well as promote spirituality and social intellectual
growth. The Gift baskets with a variety of items can be from smallest to largest neatly
wrapped and tied with a colorful bow.

each customer that will evoke the most unique customer service purchase and
experience

1. KBs Specialty Gift Shop is a business to business company that is targeting the
demographic segment of the market. KBs Specialty Gift Shop specialize in
selling items such as gift baskets which includes stuff animals large or small,
toys for children, cheese, wine, perfume, jewels, scented candles, chocolates
candy, personalize cups, baby gift, victory secret or bath and body lotion if
requested. Also, customers can put special items they wish to have place into
the gift basket.
5. Current Opportunity
i. KBs Specialty Gift shop will carry items of current interest that customers can
purchase quickly under any circumstance. Also, these items can be viewed on an
electronic system which give the customers the opportunity to designed there basket
the way customer wishes it to be.

i. Competitor #1 Mag Pie Gift & Art Shop open for 96 years and offers home
accessories and bridal ornament.
Competitor #2 Nellie May offer floral, home accessories accent chest, lamps baby
gifts candles and much more, both gift shop are located in the same error.
Competitor #3 The Flower Bouquet has a vast of accessories for different occasion
ii. The customers great experience begins and ends with a trip to K Bs Specialty Gift
Shop. Having a wide variety of products would appeal to customers that purchase
specials gifts on special occasion.

Marketing Strategy
1. KBs specialty gift shop strategy is to bedazzle customers with unique items we will provide to
meet their needs and display baskets at a reasonable price.
2. Product/Service
i. KBs Gift basket is a one of a kind product that would satisfy the customers. These
baskets can be from small to large that have different accessories large or small stuff
animals, perfume, jewel, scented candles, picture frames, baby items, victory secret
lotion or bath and body lotion. Customers will be allowed to look at an electronic
system and designed their basket exactly how they have envisioned it to be.
3. Sales Strategy
i. KBs Specialty Gift Shop will offer direct sales to its customers, provide brochures and
implement e-commerce capabilities to existing websites.

i. KBs Specialty Gift Shop will focus on the younger and older segment of the market by
providing them with information of seasonal promotion, discounts, and offering quality

i. Looking at the competitors price, KBs specialty gift shop costs will be $5 dollars and
up according to the type of basket customers request. The customers can get the same
price or a premium over the competition. Prices can fluctuate based on the cost of
production.

i. KBs Specialty website will be use for advertising its products, sales transactions,
inventory and customer education which would give our customers the general
knowledge of designing gift basket for their love ones or just friend.

products and serve, located in the downtown area of Clarksdale. Because of the population,
KBs Specialty Gift Shop has the opportunity to grow from a single retail and expand to other
cities in the near future.
IV.Operations Plan
i. S. Taylor is the sole proprietor and designer of KBs Specialty Gift shop. The store will
be managed by Katrina with one employees and a computer technologist. Rose Bilbro
has 15 years retail management experience in sales and advertising. She will
responsible for implementing company policy and procedure for customer complaints.
Ray Sykes a computer technologist, who have 25 years, experience as a system
administrator. His high level of quantitative and analytical skills with a strong bias
towards hands-on work will provide the company with the ability to design gift baskets
and offer customers needed assistance. Katrina will be responsible for purchasing of its
products. The store size is approximately 1,000 square feet which will be utilizing for
manufacturing a variety of gift basket. Shopping on line and attending trade shows as
well as locating these items in person are how the company will fulfill its service. KBs
Specialty Gift Shop will provide an on time delivery service upon the customers
request. The store location will be at 6365 Delta Ave, near the down town area
Clarksdale, MS. The building is being renovated at the present time and is slated to
opening in January 2011. The hours of operation for the store are 9am-6pm Monday
thru Friday. KBs Specialty Gift Shop financial system will be provide thru quick
book, which is a financial system that provide all the needed financial information.
