Mathematics is a very challenging subject for most of the students. The main
purpose of the study is to identify the important factors that affect the performance of
the students in mathematics. The following questionnaire is designed for the purpose
of the study.

a. State the research objective(s).

b. Distribute your questionnaires to samples of MMU students from different


faculties. (The minimum required data is 50 students that consist of at least 10
students from each faculty, thus you are advised to distribute to more than 50
students).
c. Present and describe the demographic profile of the respondents by means of
suitable tables and charts.

d. Develop 5 hypotheses.
Example:
Hypothesis 1: The performance in mathematics differs significantly for the
students from different faculties.
Hypotheses 2: Students attitude has a significant effect on the mathematics
performance.

research objective(s) and provide some significance of your study to the
university.
