abuseandtheywillrevolttothemaster,jumpingtotheoppositestateandbecomingonceagainawildanimal
withanimalqualities.Adomesticatedanimalhaslearnedtokeepinstinctsundercontrolbutitwillhaveaconstant
antagonismbetweenthecivilizedbehaviourandtheanimalinstinct.

insulted,compoundingthefeelingsofworthlessness.Vermeulen,commentsthatitiscommonforlaccaninumto
havehadadifficultchildhoodandthatthesedifficultiescangiverisetoagreatlackofselfconfidence.Thereare
severalrubricsinthedelusionsectionthatrelatetothislackofconfidence.Sankaran,saysthatthedelusionoften
epitomisesthecentraldisturbanceoftheindividual.

Thereisafeelingofnotbeingneededbyanyoneinthefamily,inthegroupandofbeinglookeddown.Because
beingdespisedmeansbeingtreatedshabbily.Relationshipandseparationareotherissuesseparationfromthe
motherforashortorlongperiodordifficultchildhoodemotionalturmoilinthemotherduringlactation
separationfromthepartnerorfromfriendsduetochangeofschoolorcountry.Theindividualwantstobepartof
agroup.Communicationwithfriendsinthegrouphelpstobuildstrongrelationships.Itiswhentheindividualis
consideredasanessentialmemberofthegroupthathestartsdevelopinghisownpersonalityandidentity.Butif
duetosomereason,thegroupdoesntrespondthenaweakpersonalitydevelopsandtheindividualfeelsunloved

FearofFailureandFearofFalling

Duetothelowselfesteemthereisastrongfearof
failureandoffalling.Thisfallingdownshouldbe
interpreted.Wearehumanbeingswith
intelligence,rationality,andasenseofmorality.
Whenwedosomethingwrong(orwethinkwe
havedonesomethingwrong)wefalldownfrom
moralityandgointotheanimalstate(orabestial
state).Thereisanxietybecauseofdoubtabout
success,inabilitytopersevereinanything
undertaken.Thosefeelingscanarousefromsome
sortofabuse(physicaloremotional)whichmakes
theindividualthinkImdirty,Imuseless,Im
worthless,Iminferiortoothers.Asaconsequence,thereisanobsessionofbeingdirtyandafeelingthat
everythingthatissaidisalie.

Ataverydeeplevel,whenanadolescenceoradult,thereisafeelingofmoraldegradation.Alongwiththatfeeling
ofbeingdirty,thisbringsaboutanobsessionintheformofacompulsionofwashingmania(rubrics:delusionhe
isdirty,desiretowashthehands,delusionallshesaysisalie).

PeoplewhorespondwelltoLaccaninumareverypassionate,verylascivious.Theycanbequiteaggressiveand
defensive.Theyhaveastronghatredforthepersonswhoareresponsiblefortheirabuseinthepast.Hatredfor
thosepeoplewhodidntallowthemtobepartofthegrouporfamily.Thisaspectintensifiesthefeelingofbeing
despised.Buttheyalsohaveagreataffectionandloyaltytowardsthosewhohavebeenkindtothem,whomade
themfeelequal.

LacCaninumfeelsliketheyaregoinginsaneyettheyareveryawareofitandfearfulofit.Sankarancontendsthat
theremedy(similartothedomesticateddog)hasbeentotallycontrolledandcivilisedsothatithastosuppressits
basicanimalnatureandcanonlyexpressitscontrolled,civilisedside.

FearofSnakes

Themainfearisofsnakes.Theymayhavedelusionsinvolvingsnakesordreamsofsnakes.Laccaninumhasa
strongdelusionofbeingsurroundedbyamyriadofsnakes,runninglikelightningupanddowntheskinfearto
putthefeetonthefloor,steponthemandmakethemsquirmandwindaroundherlegsortogotobedand
closetheeyessothatalargesnake,thesizeofarm,wouldhittheminthefacewakesatnightwithsensationof
lyingonalargesnake.Symbolically,snakesrepresentfrustratedsexualimpulsesorinstinctthatareoutofcontrol.
Thesetypesoffrustrationsmaybeinternalizedandproducealotofhiddenaggression.Thisleadstoasortof
antagonismwithoneself:theemotionsturnedagainstoneself,asinternalizedaggression.

Thereisalsounconsciousworriesaboutone'sownhealth,abouthavinganincurabledisease(likeaheartdisease)
andwilldieshortly.WhateverthesymptomexperiencedbytheLaccaninumpatient,thereischangingsides.The
sorethroatwillbefeltfirstononeside,thentheother.Rheumatismintheankleswillbepainfulonalternating
sidestheheadacheandtheovarianpainwillchangesides.

MilkRemedies

Inseveralofanimalmilkremediesthereisanissueofsomekindwithmilk.Thismaybeexpressedasadesire,an
