Update from Alison

March 2015

Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times. Romans 12:12
First of all I want to say THANK YOU. Your prayers and financial support have made the past
few months a true blessing. God has really used this verse to resonate these three truths in my life
ever since I have been back at Casa de Fe. I am thankful that He is our Hope and for that I should
choose joy in every situation. In any trouble, I am reminded that His thoughts are higher than my
thoughts and His ways are higher than mine so I must seek His will and be patient as He does
everything in His perfect timing for the good of those who love him. Finally, I am learning to
pray FIRST. In all things big and small, I am learning to talk to Jesus before I do anything else.

Prayer

Changes...
Since August when I arrived back in Shell, there has been a lot of excitement. Our four oldest
girls: Rosa, Marcia, Thalya, and Evelyn started high school at a private Christian school in Puyo,
Esperanza Eterna, (Eternal
Hope), and I am fortunate to be
their legal guardian. As a mom
I cherish our afternoons together
working on homework, receiving
multiple compliments about the
girls integrity and outstanding
English abilities and watching
them shine as they are challenged
academically and growing
spiritually.
I have grown extremely fond of
Esperanza Eterna this year. I
have witnessed what an impact
they have on their students, and
also have become aware of their
many needs. Because they are
growing so fast in numbers, they
need a Vice Chancellor. I was
asked to interview for the position. The Lord has been very clear to me that this is my next step.
The Casa de Fe school has been blessed with a multitude of resources and loving teachers who I
know will continue the good work in the kids lives. Esperanza Eterna is a chance for me to reach
more students and staff. My goal is to be a light at this school as I help them grow their academic
excellence. My first day at Esperanza Eterna is April 20th. Please pray for a smooth transition!
The Casa de Fe School has had a great year so far. As the Director of Educational Programs, I
wear many hats. Daily, I teach English and art to grades 1-6, help provide teaching resources to
our homeroom teachers and manage our school donations and resources.
This year we have a special Stimulation Program for the babies 0-12 months. Our team of educators and caretakers are helping the babies explore their five senses and they are responding with
outstanding development. Alejandra, our most advanced student, just started walking!

Another new program weve started is called Reading Rockets to

encourage the children to READ, READ, READ. As they read, there
are critical thinking questions that they can answer to build a rocket
ship. Once they have
answered 10 questions, their
rocket ship reaches a planet
and they get a prize! Each
child has received a reading
buddy stuffed animal to
spend time with as they
enjoy a good book in the
library.

Dennis...
God has put a special child on my heart this year. I am pursuing fostership and adoption of a
precious four year old boy named Dennis. Since I was in high school, I have wanted to adopt
a child from Casa de Fe, but in fervent
prayer God has always told me to
wait, until now. God has used many
children at Casa de Fe to prepare my
heart to adopt Dennis. Please pray for
Gods grace in this process and for
His mighty hand to move. I know He
adores Dennis even more than I do
and I trust He has a beautiful plan for
his future.
