Description:
Consider the paraphrasing technique for integrating borrowed text from the secondary sources into your
final technical report. The secondary sources should be cited appropriately inside the text and inside the
reference list at the end of the technical report according to the APA style.
Your task is to write one properly paraphrased paragraph + one properly summarized
paragraph for one of the original paragraphs listed in the secondary sources that you are using to
prepare the main section of the final technical report for which you are responsible. You should
follow the guidelines discussed in the lecture during the paraphrasing process + the correct
structure of writing paragraphs (topic sentence + supporting details + concluding sentence) that
you have learnt. You should avoid plagiarism.
Your MSWord file should contain the following:
1. Report title. (2 pts)
2. Report thesis. (4 pts)
3. Heading of the main section you are responsible for. (2 pts)
4. Reference citation of the source used. (6 pts)
5. Original paragraph. (You will get a ZERO grade if the original paragraph is not written
inside the MSWord file)

Remember that you will get a ZERO grade if you plagiarized the original paragraph. Plagiarism
also indicates lack of proper citation of sources. So, you will lose more than 50% of the total
grade if you did not cite the source reference using the APA style as required or inside the text.
You will be judged on the correctness of your writing, and you will be penalized 2 pts for each error in
the grammar, mechanics, and spelling.
