In the 2nd round, a pollyphonic woork of the baaroque era, a representtative work of the (Euroopean) Romaantic era, annd a contem mporary wo rk should be prepared. "Jazz/Performing Artist" - maajor examinaation Two out of threee prepared pieces p of th e candidate's own choice and diffeerent tempi from the field of jazz and contiguous c styles have to be perfo ormed with theme and improovisation. One of these pieces mustt be a jazz standard. Thee ability to pplay or sing from sight-reading will be teested by meaans of given n music exam mples. The exxamination will ttake about 15 minutes. "Jazz-Performingg Artist" Mussic Theory The ccandidate shall provide evidence e of hhis ability to recognise by ear (aural training) as well aas basic jazzz theory kno owledge.
