Nazis wanted to control youth, as youth are easier to


persuade due to their age. It is easier as they are not experienced,
easily impressed and could change their perspective. Nazis wanted to
influence the youth, as they were the ones who led the future and this
means that they were the one who carried on the legend of the Nazis.
Hitler wanted them youth be devoted and loyal towards him.
Considering Hitlers theory of Aryan superiority, he wanted to bring up
the youths as perfect Aryans. When majority of the youth accepts the
Nazi, its inevitable to the fact that most of the others will also follows
their footsteps in being devoted to Hitler. Nazis wanted he youth to
grow up, with the mindset that they had to be always devoted and loyal
to Hitler.
Mainly, education was the key for the Nazis to control the
youth. It implemented ideas and mentality to the youth that they had
to be loyal and completely devoted to Nazis and Hitler. All subjects
thought in school was all focusing on the military area. They all taught
the youth about rebuilding Germany. Mathematics focuses on artillery,
ballistics and calculations. Some math questions even mentioned the
Jews and discriminated them by calling them aliens. In chemistry,
youth learned about chemical weapons, which would help Germany in
wars. They also learned Aryan superiority in race studied. Girls were
thought to be homemakers and mothers in domestic science. In
Eugenics, genes were thought so that clever and good children will be
created for the good of Germany. Sports and fitness trained the youth
to be fit so that they could join the youth movements. These subjects
made children think of Jews as an inferior race, saw Hitler as a heroic
figure and focus to try and be a perfect Aryan. Rallies were held where
youth would march and this made them feel belonged and engaged in
building a better Germany. The youth will feel proud and this made
them to even want to follow Nazis. Youth groups were set up for boys
and girls. They had opportunities to do something fun and something
they had never been able to do before then.
Youth movements were made available for both girls and boys.
For boys, they went for labour camps. They got the opportunity to
train for military and also did hiking. They were thought how to use a
map and confidently camp when they needed to. Also, they were
thought on how to use and keep a riffle. Political studies were also
thought where they got to learn about the positive side of Nazis and
negative side of communists, Weimar Government and other minority
groups. Boys also had to go for parades where they marched. On the
other hand, the girls joined a group called the German Maiden. Nazi
ideas were thought and they also went for hiking and camping.
Athletics were thought to them so they could be a fit mother in the
future. Domestic skills were also thought to the girls in the group. The
girls were given preparation for motherhood and this was to ensure

the future generation would be able to continue to with the superior


Aryan race.
