Report on Fantastic Mr.

Fox
Fantastic Mr.Fox was published in 1968. The author of this book is Roald Dahl,
was a British novelist. He is a short story writer, poet, screenwriter, and fighter pilot. Born
in Wales to Norwegian parents. He is the author of many popular books for children,
including The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and many more. The
type of genre is animal.
Setting of this story is deep in the woods near three farms: Chicken Farm, Duck
Farm and Turkey/Apple Farm. The story is about Mr. Fox came into the three farmers'
farms and stole their chickens and geese on a daily basis. He took it to his home and fed
his wife and three cubs. But soon, problems arose. The food was starting to run short
everyday. The food that was brought everyday wasn't enough to satisfy everyone's
hunger. Other families and individual animals were facing similar problems. To add to
their problems, the three farmers were getting more determined to get rid of Mr. Fox and
all the other troublemakers.
Soon, Boggis, Bunce and Bean decided that they had to take action. They
planned a number of things to trap and kill Mr. Fox. They tried day and night to trap Mr.
Fox, but the cunning genius managed to escape each time. Then, the three farmers
came up with their best plan yet; they decided to dig into his home. So they brought their
machines and started digging in through the ground. Mr. Fox, the smartest fox in the
area, was now trapped along with his family and a lot of other animals.
Mr. Fox took a while to think of a solution to the problem he was now in, and then
he hatched a brilliant plan. He realized that they could dig faster than the farmers could
dig. But they had hit the place where all of Boggis', Bunce's and Bean's work lay. All the
food and products that were grown on the farm lay here. Mr. Fox and his crew along with
their families found their key to survival. They had found food. They also managed to
escape from the clutches of the three horrible farmers; Boggis, Bunce, and Bean.
The main character of the story is Mr Fox. He is a fantastic fellow looking to
help others but sometimes his plans dont work accordingly. Other character like
Mrs.Fox, She is a kind, loving fox who cares for her childrens safety.Three farmer, their
names were Farmer Boggis, Farmer Bunce and Farmer Bean. Boggis was a chicken
farmer. He kept thousands of chickens. He was enormously fat. This was because he
ate three boiled chickens smothered with dumplings every day for breakfast, lunch and
supper.

Bunce was a duck-and-goose farmer. He kept thousands of ducks and geese. He

was a kind of pot-bellied dwarf. He was so short. His food was doughnuts and gooselivers. Bean was a turkey-and-apple farmer. He kept thousands of turkeys in an orchard
full of apple trees. Instead, he drank gallons of strong cider which he made from the
apples in his orchard. He was as thin as a pencil and the cleverest of them all.
The themes of this story is survival. When Mr. Fox and his family woke up to
the sound of shoveling, they knew they were being hunted. To survive, the dug into the
ground. When they needed food, Mr. Fox dug to the farms to gather what he needed.
When they ran into other animals, they used their natural instincts to survive. Mr. Fox's
family didn't eat vegetables, but would gather them for the badgers. It was an
unbeatable team. In the end, all of the animals brought their best attribute to the table
and beat the farmers. As you can see, this story shows how everyone can come
together, no matter their differences, and survive.
I learned the leadership from the story. Mr. Fox is a charismatic fox and a leader
in his family and among the animals. At first, he uses his leadership for his own personal
goal, which is to steal the food for his life. Unfortunately, when he reaches his goal, he
hurts his family and friends as well as brings the whole society on conflict. My favourite
part is when Mr Fox brings back lots of food and shares it with the whole animal
kingdom. I like this part because the animals are very friendly to each other and it's nice
to read about them being neighbourly.
My favourite character is obviously Mr Fox because he is brave, kind and
fearless. He is a loving fox who cares about everyone more than himself and would
never ever let anyone suffer. My least favorite characters are Boggis, Bean and Bunce,
the three vile men who want to capture Mr Fox because he stole Boggis' chickens,
Bean's turkey and Bunce's duck and goose.
My favorite part is when the children of the woods create a song describing the
three farmers. My least favourite part is when the bad people keep on digging down in
the soil to capture Mr Fox and his family in his own home. I hate that part because they
are being vicious and mean and I hate people being despicable and rude! I like the story
because it was a very enjoyable book full of exciting adventure and always keeps me
wanting to read more.
