Activity:
Firstly once again children listen to the story called The Robbery that they have
listened to the previous lessons. They are in pair of people and each pair has a
story card (with the picture on one side and the text on the other side).

Then the teacher writes on the top of the blackboard a + sign and a - sign
and he asks for help: What happens on April 1st ?. The couple who has the
story card number 1 says: There is a robbery. And the teacher writes this
sentence below the + sign. Then he asks: Do you remember the message to
the police? The couple who has the story card number 5 says: In the art gallery
theres a map He also writes below the answer.

Secondly the teacher asks children: Is there any girl or any policewoman in the
story? Some student could answer: There isnt a girl in the story. And the
teacher writes this sentence below the - sign and also the next sentence:
There isnt a policewoman in the story.

Next the teacher asks children: Where are the robbers? The couple who has
the story card number 2 says: There are some robbers in the cupboard. And
the teacher writes this sentence and the next answer below the + + + + signs
(plural). Then the teacher asks children: Where are the paintings? The couple
who has the story card number 12 says: There are paintings in a tube.

Right after the teacher asks children: Are there any security guards in the art
gallery? And again the couple who has the story card number 3 says: There
arent any security guards in the art gallery. And the teacher writes this
sentence below the + sign.

And finally the teacher asks children: Are there any security guards in the art
gallery? Some student could answer: There arent any security guards in the
art gallery. And the teacher writes this sentence below the - - - - signs
(plural).

Activity: Pencils on the desk


In order to reinforce these structures the teacher pick up some childrens pencils
and he puts one on his desk and says: There is a pencil on my desk. Then, he
adds some pencils and says: There are some pencils on my desk. After, he
returns the pencils to his students and asks them: And now? Children would
say: There arent any pencils on the desk.

Activity: Look at the pictures. Find five differences and write. Use there is,
there isnt, there are and there arent any.

Activity: Children read and perform the actions. Then they sing the song with
rhythm and gestures.
