Introduction
As D. L. Moody famously said, The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and
through a man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him.
Revival dont just happen, and God doesnt just rain down revival from heaven upon a person
or a nation. Men like you and I make it happen.
Revival comes consequent of yearnings, intercessory outcries, persistent desires, and sacrifices.
Whenever God wants to pour out His Spirit upon men, he reveals his purpose into the minds of
godly men and opens the eyes of their spirit to see the visions of God. But for Revival to
eventually breakout like a wild fire, godly men and women must actively engage themselves
vis--vis the vision of God and align themselves with His purpose.
You are the one that will make yourself eventually instrumental and relevant as an agent of
Revival at such a time as Now.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of
wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these [what is dishonorable], he shall
be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and
prepared unto every good work. (2Timothy 2:20-21)

You can see that many are the vessels that have been called into the great house [the Kingdom
of God], but how useful and precious a vessel eventually becomes is dependent on the Vessels
response and performance [growth in grace]. The grace of God has been given to everyone
equally, but we must grow in grace to become relevant and useful in Gods kingdom, and
ultimately in the move of God in this end-time revival. You do not pray for grace to come or
increase in your life, you apply yourself in Christ to grow in grace.
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame [stir up] the gift of God [Grace], which is in you
through the laying on of my hands, (2Timothy 1:6)
Today, the Lord is still saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?. God is looking for
people with qualities and grace to carry the fire of revival for this generation.
Will you make yourself an Agent of Revival?
Will you enlist a volunteer?
Will you apply yourself for Kingdom relevance?
Yes, with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can be that individual. And like prophet Isaiah, it starts
with you and me saying, Here am I. Send me!

Who are Agents of Revival?

To become an agent of revival you must apply and develop certain qualities common to men that
carried the fire of revival in their generations. These qualities are timeless and are still essential today if
you will become an agent of revival for your generation.
Agents of Revival:

1. Selfless Men
Men driven by the visions of God and not their ambition or imagination

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I
count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count
them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ, and be found in him, not
having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which
comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on
faith that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share
his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I
may attain the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:7 -11

These ae men consumed by the hearts and yearnings of God, and not compelled or
motivated by the hands of God [blessings or rewards]. Men, having been shown the
visions of God will shout Here am I. Send me!
Men ready to die. [to self, to worldliness, to cheers and criticism, and even physical death]

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it
remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. John 12:24

There cannot be fire except the igniter itself burns and at times be consumed
completely. You cannot be a sustainable instrument of revival except you are ready to
burn and deplete your SELF.

And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of
their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. (Rev 12:11)

5|P ag e

You cannot love yourself and be ready to burn for revival at the same time. You cannot
seek comfort and be desiring to be a revival agent at the same time.
Revival Agents are dead men.

2. Men Different From Men:

You cannot be doing what everyone is doing and expect to see something unusual.
Men of Revival are men different from other men; in conducts, ways of life, views,
priorities, opinions and sense of responsibility.

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
Now John wore a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist,
and his food was locusts and wild honey. (Mat 3:1, 4)

Agents of Revival are men given completely over to Consecration. Consecrated men, not
because they are not righteous men or are trying to become holy, but they chose to
follow the path of expediency. Hear me, consecration is a spiritual tool you must engage
to become a brandish instrument of Revival fire that cannot be quenched easily.
Men that gave up their rights, legitimate opportunities, and promising alternatives to be
set aside for the Lord. Men that subjected themselves to Divine dealings, not because of
compulsion, but out of passion for Gods will and sense of Divine Need.

3. Men of Narrow Perspective

Nothing else matters to these men but God and His agenda alone. Men that have
narrowed their gaze only to see God [his ultimate purpose, will, concerns] despite all
other contending attentions and demands are ready instrument of fire for Revival
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the
kingdoms of the world and their glory.
And he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship
me."
Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, "'You shall worship
the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'" Matthew 4:8-10

6|P ag e

The adversary with his lures and temptation will fizzle out once he realizes your
perspective is narrowed to God alone, and behold, you will be ministered to by angels
just as they did Jesus and behold, angels came and were ministering to him .

4. Men of the Desert and Mountains

These are men whose voices are not strange to divine ears, and whose cry disrupt
heavens serenity night and day. They are always fortified by prayers; prayer is an
indispensable instrument and channels through which they get things done.
And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by
himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, (Mat 14:23)
But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray. (Luk 5:16)
Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his
disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples." (Luk
11:1)
Jesus was a man of prayer, and prayer was the only way he replenishes his fire. You
cannot then fulfil his ministry without following his precepts. You must be a man of the
Solitary and Mountains.
Men of Revival have no other view of issues except that which is sorted and obtained in
the place of prayer. Prayers and deep intercession must become the building blocks of
your hearts burden, and the fuel for the fire and the anointing of God that you carry.
You must be known at heavens doors with your perpetual and consistent knocks.
Prayer must be air that you breathe.

5. Men of the Word.

These men have no other vocabulary except the Word; their expressions are none other
than scriptures. The only answer on their lips for every situation is It is written. They
have no other opinion or word of their own, except what the Word says. Their hearts,
minds, and imagination are seasoned with the Word of God.
He said, "I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Make straight the
way of the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said." (Joh 1:23)
But he answered, "It is written, "'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"(Mat 4:4)
7|P ag e

Jesus said to him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord your God to
the test.'" (Mat 4:7)
Agents of Revival are men that are skilled with the Sword of the Spirit. They can
withstand the devil with the Word. They have nothing to fear, but the Word of God is all
that matters to them.
You can never speak for God, if you have not been enriched by is Word.

6. Men of Fellowship and Courage.

You must place high premium on communion and consistent fellowship with God if you
must carry a sustainable fire.
Agents of revival are men who withdraw always to the solitary, where its only them and
God. They understand that it is only in the place of consistent fellowship that the secrets
of heaven are released. They understand by reason of experience that revelations,
visions, and knowledge of the divine will is only made know in the terrain of communion
Agents of revival are courageous men. Courage that comes from the Spirit as a flow
from the place of fellowship and prayer. Boldness to confront men and demons, and
Confidence to speak against evil.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism,
he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath
to come? (Mat 3:7)
Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. (Mat 3:8)

7. Men of Power
Agents of revival dont pray for power but they manifest it. Power is a natural outflow
of their lives.
Power confirms and reinforces the truth of the gospel, so you do not pray for it but you
walk in it. Walk in the truth, and see power work through you.
Power is a natural outflow of a life of obedience, fellowship, and devotion to God.
8|P ag e

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to
the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and
many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. (Act 2:42-43)

A believer connected in fellowship does not have to pray or seek power, it naturally
flows through him. Stay connected, just as an electric cable to its source, then power
will flow through you
Power manifests where the true gospel is propagated

8. Men of ONE Message

Agents of Revival dont have too many things to talk about, but one.
In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Mat 3:2)
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand ((Mat 4:17)
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him
crucified. (1Co 2:2)
Men on fire for God in time past went out all their lives saying just one thing, and the
people never got weary of them. They were men of one word. They all had a message
from God.
As a revival agent you must have a clear cut message from God for your generation.

9. Men of Character

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and
godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had
our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. (2Co 1:12)

9|P ag e

A revival agent maintains clear and clean conscience before God and men and his
integrity must be unquestionable. He places premiums on Holy living, hence nothing
could soil his heart before God nor invalidate his message before men

10. Men of Great Endurance

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may
obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (2Ti 2:10)
Thou therefore endure hardness [hardship], as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
(2Ti 2:3)

The reality is that the higher calling of being an instrument of fire for God wont come
easy with a funfair. It require great endurance, long suffering and patience. It is not for
those desiring milk and honey in this present life, hence the calling is not for everyone.
You must be ready and willing to endure much suffering for the sake of many

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith,
longsuffering, charity, patience, persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me
at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them
all the Lord delivered me.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
(2Timothy 3:10-12)
