Presentation and Objectives:


Since 2007, the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) of ISCAP-IPP develops applied and fundamental research and co-operates
with other national and international institutions in scientific, technical and cultural programs. Our designation and goals
comprehend the whole intercultural and interdisciplinary field created by our research, by our opportunities for cultural
interchange, and by our scientific and editorial projects. CEIs team is composed of lecturers and students from ISCAP and from
other national and international institutions, and has the support of a renowned Advisory Board. CEI hosts and supervises
classes, projects, dissertations, and the training of graduate and post-graduate students; CEIs specialized library is open to the
academic community; CEI supports the participation of its team members in national and international conferences and editorial
projects. Every year, CEI grants an award for the best final project of the Masters in Specialized Translation and Interpreting of
ISCAP-IPP.
CEI is a research associate of the Institute for the Study of Literatures and Traditions of Lisbons New University, and collaborates
with the CEMRI of the Portuguese Open University, Universities of Vigo, Bretagne, Spiru Haret and Tehnica of Bucharest,
Franche-Comt, Bourgogne-Dijon, ParisNanterre, Angers, Paraiba, Parana, Jan, Castilla la Mancha, Nicolas Copernicus-Torun,
Artois, Barcelona, Latvia, Macau, Mozambique, Kuban State University, Skopjie, Delaware State University, as well as with
Unyleya, Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Luso-Turkish Association and IPPs Brazilian Centre for Research, Projects and
Innovation. CEI is a founding member of ECREA Womens Network.
