IELTS Test Venue: The venue for the IELTS test is Al Ahnaf Bin Qais
Independent School, West Bay Lagoon, Doha, Qatar. Please go to this
site http://goo.gl/vftyCZ to view the map. Please report at 07:45 am for the
test. Late arrivals will not be allowed to take the test and their test fees will be
forfeited.
Speaking Test Update: The Speaking Test can be held on the test day as
well as 7 days before or 7 days after the test date. We will notify the
candidates in case their speaking test is scheduled on days other than the
test date.
Hand Held Metal Detector Policy: As per new IELTS policy, all candidates
are required to be scanned at the venue by hand held metal detectors to
mitigate the risk of candidates carrying Mobile Phones, Bluetooth Devices or
any kind of Electronic Devices in the test venues as these devices can
interfere in the proper administration of the test. Kindly co-operate with us.
British Council Qatar IELTS Refund & Transfer Policy
Candidates who request a postponement or cancellation of their test
within 5 weeks of the test date will be charged the full fee unless they
are able to provide appropriate medical evidence to support their
request. Medical evidence must be provided no later than 5 days
after the test date.Administration fee of QAR 250.00 will be deducted
for every refund & QAR 225.00 will be charged for every transfer.

The British Council holds no liability for the theft or loss of any personal
property on the IELTS Test Day.
Should candidates choose to bring personal belongings on the Test Day, the
candidates, not The British Council, are responsible for ensuring that their
belongings are secured.
IELTS Identity Authentication Management System:
The British Council has implemented an IELTS Identity Authentication
Management System which captures each candidate's image, finger print
and signature for candidate identity verification purposes on test days.
This will include:
Having your photograph taken. You will be required to temporarily
remove any covering from your face. Any candidate who refuses to
have a photograph taken will not be permitted to sit the test and will
not be entitled to a refund. The photograph taken by the test centre
will appear on your Test Report Form.
