Introduction

There are various types of pollution that directly or indirectly affect life on planet
earth. This classification is based on how it affects different environments on the
planet such as air, water, land, etc.
The studies help to understand the causes and consequences that our actions
and help us learn how we can reverse the effects caused by these acts.
Some of these types of contamination are:
Water Pollution
Air Pollution
Soil Contamination
Thermal Pollution
Radioactive Contamination
Noise Pollution
Light Pollution
For this research the first five types of pollution are those that directly affect the
present and future of the planet were taken into account.
Moreover solutions that could give a short or long term solution arise.

Water contamination

Water is not only essential part of our own physical nature and other living
beings, but also contributes to the general welfare in all human activities. The
water is mostly used as an essential element in the diet of all living things and
this is one of the few elements without which life could not be maintained. For
all this water provides great benefits to humans, but also can transmit diseases
such as cholera.
As water is an important element for all living things, these are directly at risk.

Water pollutants
1. Pathogens causing: typhoid fever, paratyphoid, hepatitis, dysentery, etc.
2. Synthetic detergents and fertilizers rich in phosphates.
3. Organic pesticides such as DDT, aldrin, dieldrin, etc.
4. Inorganic chemicals such as nitrates, nitrites, fluorides. arsenic, selenium,
mercury.
5. Oil and its derivatives such as tar, oils, fuels.
Possible solutions:
Avoid littering and waste water.
Do not allow companies boten waste.

Air pollution

Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Emissions from
cars, chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended
as particles. Ozone, a gas, is a major component of air pollution in cities. When
ozone air pollution form also called smog.

Some air pollutants are toxic. Inhalation may increase the chance of having
health problems. People with heart or lung disease, older adults and children
are at greater risk of problems from air pollution. Air pollution occurs not only on
the outside: the air inside buildings can also be contaminated and affect your
health.

The main air pollutants gases are:

The sulfur oxide originating from petroleum refineries

Carbon monoxide stoves and cars.
Nitrogen oxide points that exist in nuclear energy and internal
combustion vehicles.
Carbon dioxide from industry and deforestation activity.

Possible solutions:
Encourage the use of bicycles and moving on foot rather than by car or taxi.
Afforestation incentives to generate more oxygen.

Soil contamination
Soil pollution is the introduction of foreign substances into the Earth's surface.
These elements severely harm the health of people, animals and plants. Often
this type of pollution comes into contact with drinking water from these sites
aggravating the situation.
Perform activities on the ground for the growth and maintenance of many
families as agriculture, industry and building cities. The fact that the quality of
the soil is disturbed and as a result a serious food crisis, affects the lifestyle and
the future of generations to come, because they do not have a place to plant
their food or build a house where live.

Causes of terrestrial contamination

Breaking underground storage tanks: a secure method of storing

flammable or combustible liquids but may break due to the excessive
burden of land around it or covering the entrance of waste or traffic
vibrations.
Excessive use of pesticides in plantations as insecticides, herbicides and
fertilizers.
Littering in places not intended for that use: plastic, glass or paper that
take hundreds of years to decompose.

Toxic waste industries that release without control by the organizations

responsible for overseeing this activity.

Filtered landfills: these small spaces designed for accumulation of trash

and where it is covered by layers of soil and compacted in such a way
that is not harmful to health may suffer any leakage or rupture in their
cloaks .
Tailings spill: these wastes produced by mining and deposited in the
holding tanks near:
they can break and contaminate water and soil of the region.
Monoculture: the act of planting a single species on land without rest or
credit deteriorates soil nutrient depleted, causing erosion and
desertification sterility.

Possible solutions:
Out the garbage, respecting the spaces intended for this.
Make different species plantations respecting time off for Earth.

Conclusion
All of either we contribute to the pollution of our world way from what we eat to
what we throw implies a benefit or harm the environment.
It is for this reason that the fate of the human race depends on what we do
today to halt pollution, because otherwise, within a few hundred years, still exist
earth, but perhaps not those who now inhabit.
