Perform, following activities in lab sessions:
1. Set all pages should be set with the same margin. The left margin should be 2.5
cm (for
binding purposes) and 2.5 cm for the top, right and bottom margins for the entire
document 2. Type the following piece of text in 12 points, Liberation Serif font,
spacing 1.5 without caring about its formatting :
Message From The Dean
Welcome to the Faculty of Science and Biotechnology (FaSBio) website. The
faculty was established as a result of the merger between Faculty of Science and
Environmental Technology and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology in
2010. We are one of the four faculties located in Bestari Jaya, Selangor about 80
km from Kuala Lumpur. The Faculty of Science and Biotechnology has so many
academic activities to offer in addition to our excellent programs. We strive to
provide the best to our students and ensure that they receive our utmost care and
guidance to succeed in their chosen field. Academically, we have a Science
foundation program, three diploma, three undergraduate programs and three
postgraduate programs. We have excellent laboratory facilities to fully support our
programs. The faculty is in the process of undertaking a major improvement in
both teaching and its research programs. We realized that many of the scientific
and technological problems in the industry require a multidisciplinary approach.
Thus, it is for this reason we are constantly updating or making changes on our
present curriculum in order to stay relevant to the industry. Our program is
designed to develop the entrepreneur of the future. This is particularly true where
most of the students require attending a semester of industrial training either in
the private or government sectors. In addition, we are currently developing an
exchange program with our collaborators overseas to allow placement of our
students in that country. This will provide an international experience to students
training. We aspire to be the premier faculty of research in the university. Our
strength is in pure sciences and biotechnology that span across aquaculture and
marine biotechnology, plant and microbial biotechnology. We receive the most

numbers of research grants in the university. We hope you have a glimpse of what
the faculty is all about. For prospective students, we kindly invite you to visit us at

and italic bold. (e) Import the clip art from clip art gallery. (f) Align the paragraphs.
(g) Check the spelling error (F7) 4. Divide the Message From The Dean to double
column with first character, W in 20 point hold.

Introduction
Data quality (DQ) has become the critical concern in organization. The growth of
daily data and complexity in data warehouse with enhancing the access from
various sources become a challenge in for information user. The demand for
quality data has increase the awareness of quality of information in making fast
and reliable decision making. The dirty data will cause major problem in data
warehouse as more people to gain the wrong information from it, despite of
gaining competitive advantage for an organization. Relatively it inexpensive to
clean up the data set, seldom been used and expensive to improve the DQ
frequently used.

Creating a Simple Worksheet.

1. Perform following operations to get familiar with the process of creating


worksheet: i. Invoke "Calc" on your computer. ii. Enter all the labels, formulae and
data that are shown in figure belows and create a

iii. Modify sales figures and observe its effect on total. iv. Save the worksheet on
disk. v. Open the worksheet and perform following operations:
a) Add a new column after June accommodate July figures.
b) Add a new row above Total row to accommodate a new sales person, named
Khairil.
c) Modify all formula accordingly to get the sum of all the four months and four
companies. d) Add data for July month and Khairil sales person and check your
results.

Creating A Worksheet For An Office.
1. Read following requirement first:
Assume that an organization wishes to computerize its Budget Preparation &
Analysis
activities. It has decided to computerize the work, using "Calc". Say following are
the details
of the budget activities:
(i) Organization's budget is prepared under following five heads: a) Salary b)
Travel & Tour c) Rent & Maintenance (1) Electricity & Telephone e) Miscellaneous
(ii) Following figures are clearly shown in the budget: a) Amount under each head
is classified into two categories i.e. Officers and Staff.
Totals of these amounts are also shown in the budget.
b) Previous year figures are also included in same format in the report (as that of
current year, mentioned in previous point).
(iii) Apart from above mentioned figures, following analysis is also included in
budget: a) The difference between current year figures and last year figures, for
each head. b) Percentage increase/decrease for each head.

1. Assume that five student of a collage scored marks in their final examination,
as mentioned

3. Enter formula in the worksheet to calculate total marks for Arif.
4. Copy above mentioned formula for other students.

6. Plot a Bar chart to show subject wise comparison of marks for Munir and Ziana.

7. Plot a Doughnut chart to show subject wise comparison of marks for Azri and
Benjamin.

Plotting Another Chart For Given Data.
1. Assume that target and achievement figure of three companies are as follows:
Z1 2. Enter above mentioned data in Calc worksheet. 3. Enter a formula in
suitable cell to calculate the difference between target and achievement.
4. Copy this formula for other two companies.
5. Plot a column chart to show budget and achievement figures of all the three
companies.
6. Modify the chart and:
i. Include "Performance Chart For 2012" as chart title in the chart. ii. Include
"Company" as X axis title in the chart. iii. Include "Value in MYR" as Y axis title in
the chart. 7. Change achievement figure of Azurii Bhd. Company from 600 to 1500
and observe the change in the chart. 8. Select achievement column of Abree Sdn.
Bhd. Company and drag it downwards and observe its effect on corresponding
data in worksheet.
9. Move the chart to some other location.
10. Change the size of the chart.
11. Convert column chart into bar chart.
12. Copy the chart in some other worksheet.

1. Assume that you have to talk about India in an international seminar. For this,
you have to make PowerPoint presentation comprising of many slides. Titles of
