Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) is established under the private
University Act 1992, as amended in 1998. GUB is a modern, dynamic and
innovative academy which provides state of the art knowledge skills and attitude
(KSA) in every branch of education. GUB strives to produce professionals with self
confidence, versatile skills and ethical standards to meet the challenge of the
corporate world and sow the seeds of economic, spiritual and cultural growth.
The principal goal of GUB is to provide quality education at undergraduate and
post-graduate levels relevant to the needs of a dynamic society. The courses and
curricula are so designed as to prepare the students with sound academic
background so that they can enter into the competitive professional job market or
can continue further higher academic studies at home and abroad. The overall
academic goal at the University is to equip its students with the means to become
skilled and productive resources of the community, so that they can provide
leadership in the countrys private and public sector enterprises in an increasingly
competitive and global environment.

University Campus
Main Campus: The main campus of GUB is located in a modern high-rise building
in the heart of Dhaka Mega city at Farmgate. Cafes, restaurants, major
departmental stores and shops are available very close to the campus.
Programs of Study
Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) has been expanding its academic
programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels under different faculties
and departments. At present, the University's academic programs are as follows:

I believe that The University can admit their targeted number of students
in the next fall semester. Because the result of H.S.C examination is
going to publish. Moreover, the University has all the necessary facilities

that a student desires at the time of enrollment into a university. But I

think there is a communication gap between students and the university.
In this case, print media and electronic media can play an important role
as well as personal marketing can also contribute a lot in this regard. In
addition, GUB should deal with some industries and their dealings should
be highlighted. By adopting this policy students will be ensured that they
will not have to face any problem during internship and getting a job after
completing the degree successfully.
Now a days, students are much more interested to study in abroad. So the
university should provide them sufficient facilities in order to credit
transfer. To do so GUB should make contract with some renowned
foreign universities regarding the acceptance of maximum credit.
On the other hand, in most of the cases, students lose their interest to
enroll into a university because of transportation problem. The GUB can
introduce transportation service for students. When a student thinks about
getting admission into a private university, at first he considers the tuition
fees then the position of that university among all private universities.
But it is sorry to say that the position of GUB is not so well (37 th among
all private universities) compare to others. I strongly feel that by
considering the benchmarking policy, the university will get a prestigious
status among all private universities which will ensure the enrollment of
maximum number of students.
However, the university should offer more courses to the students
according to their demands. As a promotional tool the GUB can offer a
special waiver for the students who are getting admitted in the next fall
semester. The GUB should gather recommendations from the existing

students in regular basis as well as the authority of the university must

have to consider the suggestions of students.
The existing facilities and the future plan of the university should be
informed properly to the students by which they will be interested to get
admission into the university. The university should participate in more
social activities and in this way it will get a huge publicity.
Finally, I believe that the pillar of every successful University is the
quality education. To provide such kind of education, the University
should mainly focus on faculty and it will allow the varsity to create a
prestigious image and then it will be itself a huge publicity for GUB.
