Archival
Studies

We have seen it as
beneficial to keep the
main LIS program and
archival program
intertwined because
there is so much
crossover between the
two.

The Ideal LAM Relationship?

The ideal LAM relationship is

composed of individuals who see
the synergies between Libraries,
Archives, and Museums.
The ideal LAM @ Universities
relationship is symbiotic resource sharing, curriculum
sharing

The Value of LAM Relationships?

LAM relationships are beneficial

as long as you let them be who
they are
I do, and I dont; there are
pieces that are common but
there are also pieces that are
really different.
As long as you let them be
unique in the ways that they're
unique.

The Future of LAM Relationships?

The days of isolation are over

understanding that those three
(LAM) programs are really different,
different methodologies, different
theories.
The better care we take of our unique
skills, and the better we develop those
unique skills, the richer the
partnership is. I think it weakens it
very much if you lump them all
together and say they are all the same:
they are not.
