Batch Monitoring and Scheduling:

Monitoring all Mainframe batch jobs and fixing abends, check for long running jobs and investigate for
any loop back issues with batch jobs.
Ensure timely completion of the batch cycles, HOLD, Force complete, Rerun and schedule to run next
workday.
Provide Production support 24X7 which involves escalation of abends.
Provide immediate fixes to the production abends. Solving production abends as per the prose of the
document.
Monitor batch cycles for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly jobs and report statistics to client.
Support the Service Restoration Team process. Document and analyze problem details, and perform.
Overriding JCL by editing the JCL according to the customer requirement and run the job.
Fixing the errors in JCL.
Monitoring remedy queue and resolving the incident tickets within the SLA time.
Restart from particular step, restart by passing steps, delete, force complete jobs based on the customer
special processing request and ensuring the quality standards in service delivery.
Check for long running job/overdue job and inform them to job owner and take action like cancel, rerun,
delete, force complete job according to customer request.
Setting job in the current schedule as dummy/No run.
Approving packages through the change-man tool during emergency situation.
Perform one-shot by copying the member from user library to Production library and submit the JCL
based on customer request.

Add/update/remove time and job dependencies to the jobs in the current schedule.
Perform adhoc scheduling of jobs with downstream / without downstream jobs based upon the customer
requirements
Scheduling jobs in ZEKE, Control M, TWS Maestro (Windows and UNIX jobs).
Making Scheduling changes as per Client's Requirement such as defining a new job, modifying an existing
job, calendar updates, adding predecessors and successors to the existing job and adding file
dependencies.
Explanation of Job definitions, Job streams, Calendars, Workstations, Scripts, Checking the timings of job
running, checking the variants in TWS Maestro.
Ad hoc request to Schedule Particular Jobs.

Monitoring the production batch job flow through ZEKE and ZEBB to insure successful job completion.

Responsible for the correction and restart of any failed production jobs by utilizing ZEKE, ZEBB and JCL.

Following escalation procedures for job failures to perform job restarts.
