Open Studio: Come for a night of creativity at ACT! For two hours, participants will
have access to ACT art supplies to create their own masterpieces! Along with this, there

ACTION DRUMMERS: This in-depth drumming class is for folks interested in

learning more about drumming and performing in various community locations. To
become an ACTion Drummer, you must meet with the ACTion Drummers instructor
before the registration deadline (one week prior to the start of class), for a meet-and-greet

Assistant:
ACT encourages participants to bring an assistant if necessary for meaningful
participation in class. There is no cost for assistants. Please note that we will not provide
art supplies for assistants as the purpose of the assistant is to help the participant, not to
work on his or her own art project.

ART OF GARDENING: In this 14-week class, students will learn to plant, grow and

harvest their own fruits and vegetables, they will learn garden culinary arts, and they will
get to create visual art projects to beautify the garden space and give back the community.

Center, students will learn the art of stop motion animation, using digital software and by
creating their own animation puppets and sets. The class will end with a special short film
showcase for family and friends! Location: Community Media Center; 1130 Wealthy St.
SE; Grand Rapids, MI 49506.

DANCE & CREATIVE MOVEMENT: Dance and CM will take place in a fun,
community environment with students learning new moves and creating new dances.
*No class will held on July 23. On August 13, the class will meet for a two-hour rehearsal
