This summer’s must-have item is located due south of the waistline. Hit handbags
and hot designer jewelry will make way for some of the most imaginative footwear
to hit high fashion in years. Designers are putting high heels on a pedestal, and
most of these carved creations that look like sculptures fit for induction into a mu-
seum are deserving of the elevated status. By Jessica Michault
