Please send along with this form copies of recommendations from churches which will encourage
other churches to support your missionary work. There are churches which will not allow a
visiting missionary to speak unless a church recommendation can be shown. Since it is impos
sible for any one person to know all Christians in the world, this recommendation by a respon
sible New Testament church is a vital help in persuading others of your worthiness and the value
of your mission. Mission Services stands ready to help you inform HORIZONS readers about
your church recommendations. Since the church is sending you to the mission field (Acts 13:1-3)
and will help provide the necessary needs on the field, naturally the church should share the
credit in your missionary ministry. One of the ways that the church can do this is to share their
conviction regarding your missionary ministry with others. Certainly, their words will help
convince others regarding the worthiness of your work. Please help MISSION SERVICES to
spread your news through HORIZONS, Packets and Slide library by sending your church recom
mendations. as soon as possible. Thanks. Send what you have now, and the others later.

Gentlemen!
The above resume is sent concerning James Le Bunch and his wife who went to Braail
last March
young couple who have been .^ent out by the Issaquah Christian Church, Issaquah, Wash. ^
This is a coD?)aratively new church and Mr. Bunch was their first full time minister,
and this church is sponsoring him and supporting him partially on the mission field.
Other churches in the Puget Sound Area co-operate in providing enough monthly support
for this young couple.
I hope there will be space in future Issue of the Horlaona to give some publicity to
the Bunches.

About the time you were reading our last prayer-letter I was climb
ing into bed, where I was to spend the next^five weeks. While in Brasilia
during the last of July both Mistie and I began to show symptoms of Bpa-_
titis. Upon returning to Uberlandia the disease was confirmed. Mistie,
--^'eing much younger, had a light case which required only co^inement at
home! The ^ease is more serious for adults and I needed total bed rest.
During the first week of August, Sandy put a call through to her Vim
at Wi-Ne-Ma Week of Missions and the word was spread and prayers began to
go up on our behalf. The next day I had Improved miraculously and my app-
etite returned. We thank God for the power of prayer and our many concerned
brothers and sisters in Christ.
My resistance and stamina are not great after five weeks in bed, Mistie
turned around, after her round with Hepatitis and was down with a col
or
a week, (would you believe?) she is now recovering from Chicken Pox! We .
prayed for patience
"Thank you Lord for the lesson!" He has blo^sod
us through these trying times. We have been drawing together as a family
in Him.
We thank God for our wonderful co-workers ~ the Scates* and Sturgeon's, i/
They have been so willing to help us through the past difficult weeks.

weeks we are showing a series of "Moody Bible Science "films in Portuguese and

the beaut^ully wrapped pen which we had with our display items. It had my

Uberlandia I went to the prison several times and made friends with one of the
prisoners, Joao Sabastao made the pen as a present. He and twelve other men
