Philippine economy as viewed by a college student like me nowadays is quite stable

and has been growing at a steady rate because of some improvements/changes.

Some of the mentioned improvements/changes would be the lower rate of
unemployment as more than a million jobs were created in October 2014 regardless
of the nature of the jobs; weak government spending caused by a decision of the
Supreme Court which found some provisions of the DAP (Disbursement Acceleration
Program) and the slow disbursement for Typhoon Yolanda reconstruction; lower
government spending, investment delays and weaker exports limit economic
growth to 6% in 2014 and 6.5% in 2015; eradicating poverty by not just providing
the needs of the poor but also by enhancing the quality of education offered by both
public and private schools nationwide; implementing health programs for the sick
and also by providing inexpensive medication and offering free consultation to
those who cant afford to pay; tax policy reformation which will surely support
higher investments tax policy reform should aim for a more equitable, efficient
and simpler tax system; improving transparency and accountability on the part of
the government and a lot more. These are just some of the changes that Philippine
Economy is experiencing at present. I may not be able to mention each and every
change because this is a never-ending process which means that whats happening
in the present may still happen in the future and might have been answered already
in the past. The bottom line here is that, each and every one of us has a
responsibility to call our own. Thus, we cannot simply point fingers to those who are
in the government and keep blaming them every time we experience nonfulfillment
and dissatisfaction with the status of our economy. They may have the power and
control to enforce and administer what must be done and what should not be done
by the people under their governance for the development of our economy, but
remember that without our initiative, willingness and cooperation to reach one and
the same goal, power and control are of no use regardless of how good the leader
is.
