(MRIEM), ROHTAK

Matu Ram Institute of Engineering & Management (MRIEM),

Rohtak was established by the Jat Education Society (Regd.), Rohtak in
the year of 2008 as a Self Financing Institute to impart technical
education. The Institute is affiliated to the Maharshi Dayanand University,
Rohtak and approved by the State Government and the All India Council
for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Institute is situated in the
heart of city & located on the National Highway No. 10 i.e. Delhi-Rohtak
Road.
MRIEM is dedicated to the memory of Ch. Matu Ram Ji, one

of the founding fathers as well as the Founder President

of Jat Education Society (Regd.) Rohtak. He was one of
the leading lights who were instrumental in bringing
this Society and its first institution, Jat Anglo-Sanskrit
High School, Rohtak into existence 100 years ago. His
monumental efforts in the field of education and social
service are still remembered with reverence by the
people of the region.

Vision:
MRIEM, in fact, has a double vision; On one hand it pays hearty

tributes to the Founder-President of the society Ch.

Matu Ram Ji and on the other hand for the manifestation

of the intellectual aspirations of the Society at large &

community in particular. To achieve this missionary zeal,
we are dedicated to create a hub where education and
research in fields of Engineering may explore in its
totality & entirety, a new horizon.

Mission:
MRIEM has a sole mission to generate the ability to think

straight, some knowledge of the past, some vision of

the future, some urge to fit that service into well-being
of the community, among the pupils of the institute
these are the most vital pillars that education must try
to produce in its totality.

The Institute, at present, is having the following buildings:i)

Administrative Block in two floors = 2124.16 Square Meters

Academic Block I in three floors = 4406.48 Square Meters
Academic Block II Building is under Construction having
Basement, Ground Floor and First Floor = 3931.01 Square Meters
Mechanical workshop in Ground Floor = 1095.10 Square
Meters and First Floor yet to be Constructed having the
area of 1095.10 Square Meters
Mechanical Engineering Department Building in ground
floor = 745.11 Square Meters.

Despite the availability of the above stated space in

the various stated buildings with the Institute, we are
still short of required constructed space, as per
AICTEs norms. Therefore, a proposal for the
construction of Academic Block III is being
submitted to the honble Chief Minister, Haryana Ch.
Bhupender Singh Ji Hooda.

Special Features:
Faculty: The institute has one of the best faculties at the disposal
of its students in various teaching departments.
Infrastructure: The institute offers facilities like well stocked
library, Internet, Laboratory, Well ventilated classrooms &
extracurricular activities like Workshop, Seminar & Conferences. The
Campus of the Institute is having a totally pollution free
environment. Proper and adequate arrangements have been made
to implement the scheme of Anti-Ragging, as per requisite norms of
the Government.

Cultural Activities:
The Institute provides its students numerous opportunities for cocurricular activities to enrich their cultural interests. The cultural
committee of the Institute encourages the students to take part in a wide
variety of cultural competitions such as singing, dancing, debates,
creative writing etc. and holds various cultural activities throughout the

Sports Activities:
Sports and Games play an important role in the
physical development of the Students. Specially
trained coaches impart systematic training in
Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Hockey,
Cricket etc. The sportsmen of MRIEM represented the
Institute at the District, Zonal, State and National
Inter -Colleges and Inter-University competitions and
bringing laurels to themselves and to the Institute.

Educomp Saarathi Group-Gurgaon, T.I.M.E Group, CMC Limited, A TATA
Enterprise, subsidiary TATA Consultancy Services, Aspiring Minds, Gurgaon
on the various topics like: Workshop on Industrial Automation, Effective
Communication, GD and Interview Tips, Scope of Engineering, Industrial
Fluctuations and Current Industry Scenario.
Campus Placements drive by LET U WIN WEB
SOLUTIONS Pvt. Ltd in MRIEM on 20th
November, 2012 (7 students has been
selected for the profile of software developer
alongwith the Industrial training namely:
Parkash Chander(ECE ), Pooja Dhanker(IT),
Akshat(ECE), Ankush(ECE), Sachin(ECE), Ajay
Dhull(CSE), Vishesh(CSE) and one student
from CSE Garima Kadiyan has been selected
for Aon Hewitt Company, Gurgaon in Joint
Campus placement drive in MDU, Rohtak, 3 students have been
shortlisted for Indian Army from 3rd year named like: Navdeep from civil
3rd, Manjeet from civil 3rd, Naveen from ECE 3 rd. Recently our students
participated in Joint Campus Placement Drive in UIET, MDU, Rohtak
organised by Cetpa, Softcon, Technovite lab Ltd. Further More joint
campus visits are organised for the students of the institute from time to
time.
Students of every branch of 7th Semester have been assessed on
AMCAT modules by Aspiring Minds-Gurgaon, the evaluation report
contains objective scores of language, aptitude, personality and relevant
domain skills for each candidate.
Students get in touch regarding the requirements and job opportunities
via mails or posted on Institute website under the guidance of the Training
and Placement Officer of the institute.

 Future Planning

The Institute is planning to have its Academic Block-III

in order to fulfil the Building requirements as per the
requisite norms of the AICTE, for which the detail is
submitted separately.
The MRIEM, Rohtak is planning to start M.Tech in
Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and
Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Civil Engineering and Masters of Computer Applications
during the Academic Session of 2014-15
Target to conduct a Job Fair in February, 2013 for all the
branches of engineering of the B.Tech Course.

In fact, our worthy President Sh. Surender

Singh Nandal, who has incredibly built a
community and executed a Laissez Faire
Approach towards the staff and the students of
the Institute. He is a person having a positive
approach towards one and all and always tries to
bring something new and innovative for the
institute, in full degree of its honesty. We are
really with him to achieve the mission of the
worthy President not only for the appreciation
but for benefits of our Students and Staff. We
are, in fact, really thankful to our dynamic and
experienced President for his guidance for the
betterment of the Institute from time to time and
for his efforts which he continuously making for
the welfare and flourishing of the institute.
