Title of Your Project

Team Members
BME 484/485 Biomedical Engineering Capstone Design
April 24, 2015
Summary
Enter here the 3-sentence summary that you used for the NEBEC senior design competition.
Multidisciplinary Team and Project Management
Descript how different team members worked together to address different tasks of the project.
Discusss your project management and how each member contributed to the project.
Guidelines for Continuing the Project
Provide a guideline for the team next year to pick up where you left off. Descript how to operate
the system and how to execute the software. Provide information of what development tool including
vesion number was used. Describe what source code and/or library to include and how to compite the
program. Describe what worked and what didn't work. Provide suggestions/directions for continuing
the project.
Include a picture (or pictures) for your complete hardware setup and/or screen capstures of your
software.
ABET Outcome C
an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within
realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and
safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
Discuss these components in your project. How did your previous course work help? To what
extent you have achieved this outcome. What areas your team didn't do so well? What can be improved
further?
ABET Outcome D
an ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams
What are the multi-disciplinary requirements for your project (e.g. electronics, embedded
system, software, mechanical work, signal processing, IRB application, patent application, etc.)?
Discuss how you approach the problem with a multi-disciplinary approach in the sense that each team
member took on a specific role. How did your previous course work help? To what extent you have
achieved this outcome. What areas your team didn't do so well? What can be improved further?
ABET Outcome L

an ability to question approaches, procedures, tradeoffs, and results related to

engineering problems
Discuss the various alternatives that you faced in the design process. What were the tradeoffs
and what made you choose the finial approach? How did your previous course work help? To what
extent you have achieved this outcome. What areas your team didn't do so well? What can be improved
further?
Conclusions
In this section you can talk about your general experiences with this course. What did you
learn? Did you gain sufficient confidence to work on real-world problems in industry? If not, what area
needs to be improved? Did the course require a reasonable amount of time and effort? Were you
sufficiently prepared yourself with prior coursework? What did you like? What did you not like? How
can the course be improved. Discuss you experiences with the Northeast Bioengineering Conference.
Appendices
Attach the electronic version of your final 2-page NEBEC paper, both pdf and doc (not docx).
Attach the electronic version of your final poster in ppt (not pptx).
Attach the complete set of your source code (PIC, Arduino, Android, Matlab, etc.), data, and/or
spreadsheets for data analysis.

Please submit everything by Friday (April 24, 2015). If the file size is reasonable, email everying to Dr.
Sun <sun@ele.uri.edu>, Dr. Chabot <eugenechabot@gmail.com>, and Tanya Wang
<twang@ele.uri.edu>. If the file size is too large, please burn a CD ROM for Dr. Sun or transfer the
files to his laptop via a USB drive.
Please put your project and related parts/instruments in a box and place the box on the table in front of
the BME lab. We will pass the projects onto the the capstone teams in the fall.
