STARBURSTS QUESTIONS:
Pass around a bag or starbursts. Have each person grab a
handful but then have them pick one special starburst to
hold up. After everyone has chosen a starburst you can
reveal the question that corresponds with the chosen color
and go around the room having them answer one at a
time. :)

Yellow:
Where is your favorite place to go to relax and spend time with
God?

Orange:

Are you a picture taker or a forgetter of the camera?

Red:

Name three hobbies that you love to spend your time doing?

Pink:

Describe your perfect day in three words?

*Questions can vary to anything you wish!!! :)

HIGHS/LOWS:
Everyone goes around the room and shares their high best
part of their day and their low least enjoyable part of their
day with the group.

THE HOT SEAT ACTIVITY:
Each person will get a turn being in the hot seat. This
means that they are the FOCUS person. A timer will be set
for 2 minutes. Everyone else in the group is allowed to ask
any/all questions that come to mind and the person in the
hot seat answers them until the timer runs out!
FAVORITES QUIZ:
Everyone will complete the favorites questionnaire but will
not put their name on it. The completed questions will be
folded and put into a bowl. Then everyone will get an answer
sheet where they will write down the name of the person
they believe is being read about when drawn from the hat. It
is fun to have prizes for the winners who guessed the most
number of people correct! Also, fun to do this each week,
changing the favorites questions using suggestions from
the group!

NAVIGATORS
To Know Christ and Make Christ Known

The Navigators is an international, interdenominational Christian


ministry that helps people grow in Jesus Christ as they navigate
through life.
We spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by establishing life-onlife mentoring---or discipling---relationships with people,
equipping them to make an impact on those around them for
Gods glory.

And the things you have heard me say in the


presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable
men who will also be qualified to teach others.

TOOL TIME:
The Navigators stress the importance of equipping
students with valuable resources to encourage them to
know God better, grow in faith, and learn the truth of His
Word.

The A.C.T.S. Prayer
Method/Quiet Time
Adoration In this section you
spend time adoring God,
praising Him for who He is, what
He has done, and what He has
promised. Said another way,
spend time in personal worship.
Confession Take time to listen
to the Spirit as He brings to
mind areas where you have
sinned. Humbly and willingly confess those things to God.
Confession should be a part of your continual walk with Christ (see
Matt. 6:9-13). Remember that when you honestly confess, God will
forgive and cleanse you because of what Jesus has done on your
behalf (1 John 1:9). Also bear in mind that confession without
repentance (a desire to turn from the sin) does little good. It is the
one who confesses and forsakes his sin who will receive the Lords
mercy (Proverbs 28:13).

A= Ask Questions. Who? What? Where? Why?
B= Best Verse. What was the best verse to you and why?
C= Commit. What is something you can take away from this
passage and make applicable to your everyday life? Make a
goal to commit to that one thing to focus on today!
Thanksgiving In our prayers we should always have hearts that
are filled with gratitude for all the goodness and blessing our God
has given us. We are instructed by the word of God to give thanks
as we pray (Phil. 4:6-7). This includes thanking God for specific
things such as blessings, people, opportunities, guidance, and much
more. And dont forget to thank Him for the great gift of salvation
that you have received through Jesus.
Supplication Supplication is an older word, meaning ask. Under
this heading you ask God for the things you need, for His wisdom in
the circumstances of your life, for His guidance for you and others.
Intercessory prayer (your prayers for others Heb. 10:19-25; Rev.
1:4-6) fits in here as well. Spend time praying for specific people,
events, government officials, missionaries, the spread of the gospel
message, etc. (see Acts 12:5; Rom. 10:1). You may find it helpful to
make a prayer list to help you in this section. It is helpful on that list
to include a place for answers to your prayers, that way you can use
those answers as opportunities for praise and thanksgiving.
John 15 New International Version (NIV) The Vine and the Branches
15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that
bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more
fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I

The Volitional Dimension: How You Relate to Yourself

The Hub: Christ the Center


Total surrender to Christ's authority and lordship is not always a decision made right at
conversion, but is a necessary act of will. For the believer, the old life has gone and the
new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17), and Christ dwells through us instead (Galatians
2:20). God creates within us the desire to do what He wants us to do in order to express
His lordship in our lives.

The Rim: Obedience to Christ


Some acts of obedience to God are internal, such as attitudes, habits, motives, values
and day-to-day thoughts. But even these eventually surface outwardly in our relationships
with other people. Keeping His commandments in obedience is our outward indication of
inward health and love for Christour worship (John 14:21, Romans 12:1).

The Vertical Dimension: How You Relate to God

The Word Spoke


The Word of God is His direct voice showing us not only who He is, but how to live and
interact with everyone around us (2 Timothy 3:16). This means an earnest personal intake
of God's Word is essential for health and growth (Joshua 1:8). As God speaks to us
through the Scriptures, we can see His principles for life and ministry, learn how to obey
Him and become acquainted with the Christ who is worthy of our steadfast allegiance.

The Prayer Spoke


Prayer is the natural response to God as we hear Him speak through His Word. It is
sharing our heart with the One who longs for our companionship and who cares about our
concerns. Prayer not only trains our hearts and minds to know the power and glory of
God, but also turns His ear towards action in our lives and of those who we pray for (John

15:7, Philippians 4:6-7).

The Horizontal Dimension: How You Relate to


Others
The Fellowship Spoke

God has directed Christians to build each other up through interdependence and loving relationships with each other (Hebrews 10:24-25). Gathering
together as the Body of Christ draws God close around us as we praise Him and
encourage one another (Matthew 18:20).

The Witnessing Spoke


God has given believers the joy and responsibility of telling the world about the Good
News of Christs work on earth (Matthew 4:19). In fact, sharing this spectacular news with
others should be the natural overflow of a rich, vibrant life in Christ (Romans 1:16).

What is EDGE Corps
Millions of students come into their college careers open to
new ideas and looking for answers. The Navigators hope is to
make the most of that openness by reaching out to these
hungry students and showing them that the life theyre looking
for is in Christ.
As a ministry of The Navigators, EDGE Corps is passionate
about the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom and is burdened to
see the Gospel transform the lives of university students. As a
result, EDGE Corps is a 1 or 2 year ministry opportunity to call

new generation of Jesus-followers and to watch God change


lives and advance His Kingdom on the college campus.

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you


with power through his Spirit in your inner being, o that
Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that
you, being rooted and established in love, may have power,
together with all the Lords holy people, to grasp how wide
and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and
to know this love that surpasses knowledgethat you may
be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we
ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work
within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ
