Name of the project : Basic need- Home

Subject : POI (Mini unit) under the main unit- Me and


my world.

Grade: Pre K (Nursery)

Other subject areas to be included : Math

Duration: 2 weeks

Project Idea : The students will understand the


importance of house to be in a safe environment.

Students will create the areas,


kitchen and bathroom in the
school to show their learning
about the things seen there. They
will be divided in groups to
gather the material and work in
harmony. They will invite their
play house friends and have fun
while exploring the pretend play
area.

Assessment

Formative assessment- Teacher will ask


students the new words which they will learn
while seeing the PPT and the reference books
shown to them.
Summative assessment- PH & Pre K teachers
will ask them to name the things kept in the
manipulation area created by them to check
their vocabulary and they will be them while
they will prepare the areas. Being with them
will give idea to the teacher about their
learning and understanding.
Students will also undergo Peer evaluation by
k1 and k2 students.

Students will get an opportunity for buddy


interaction.

They will be able to reveal their learning to their k1


and k2 friends.

They will learn to arrange, organize and wind up


things on their own.

They will get an opportunity for peer assessment.

Students will be able to use the newly acquainted


vocabulary in their routines.

Students will get ownership of their learning.

Students will revisit the unit with the help of


photographs and share their experience.
