Supplier compliance summary

CLASSIC SPINNING MILLS (P) LTD , INDIA

As an internal auditing system, individual suppliers complete a comprehensive analysis of workplace


conditions, employee treatment and overall health and safety protocols. These compliance audits reveal
both positive areas of achievement and negative areas of improvement for each specific supplier keeping
suppliers accountable for such working conditions and offering transparency to company stakeholders.
By creating corrective action plans (CAP), suppliers work to improve areas of non-compliance, build
positive ratings and adhere to all social and environmental standards expected. Each supplier must work
to the same level of compliance and frame of reference whether in China, India or Portugal.

Scale of compliance

< 60% Unsufficient - Employment and working conditions are sub-standard and supplier refuses
to enter into discussions or undertake any improvements in company policy.

> 60% & < 75% Sufficient - Supplier working conditions are standard but significant improvements have to
be done to be compliant with the code of conduct. Management is prepared to make the
necessary improvements needed.

> 75% & < 85% Good - Practices are mostly in compliance with standards but certain structural, social or
environmental improvements still need to be made under supervision.

> 85% Excellent - Social and environmental practices are in acceptable compliance with the code
of conduct.
