En el caso de que una tormenta tropical est en el
rea o que pueda afectar la ruta del remolque, la
oficina actualizar la posicin, la fuerza, la ruta y
el pronstico, etc. de la tormenta tropical cada
doce horas o con ms frecuencia segn los
requisitos del Capitn del remolque.
Adems de los pronsticos de la oficina y de las
advertencias tropicales de la tormenta, el
remolcador supervisar los pronsticos regulares
transmitidos por las estaciones de radio costeras
locales en el rea que transitan.
La decisin para desviarse de la ruta prevista
ser tomada por el Capitn del remolque quin
ejercitar su discrecin mientras que est en
curso para la seguridad del remolque. Cuando las
circunstancias lo permitan, la aprobacin ser
requerida antes de cualquier desviacin de la ruta
prevista.
