What is Feng Shui

Feng Shui is not a simple term to understand. Since the inception, it has a vast existence
and it is being practiced worldwide. Basically, Feng Shui consists of two words Feng and
Shui. Meaning of Feng is wind and Shui denotes water. According to the culture of China,
both wind and water brings good health. It is all about changing your life in a positive
direction.
We can also take it as a Chinese system of Aesthetics. And it is mainly used with the laws
of five elements of the universe to improve our life energy. It affects different aspects of our life
like wealth, health, career, family etc. Proper implementation of Feng Shui brings good
fortune.

Theories of Feng Shui

There are many theories for Feng Shui but one of the main theories of Feng Shui is Yin-Yang theory. In this theory, Yin energy is showed by black color
and Yang theory is represented by white color. Use of these colors has meaning. Yin energy gives you strength at night when you take rest. It relaxes
and replenishes your energies. It is a passive energy. Yang energy is an active energy. You have Yang energy when you work, party or drive on a
highway.
Both energies need each other. Both energies define each other. There is no importance of a new day if there is no dark night before it.

When you are going to try this theory at home then you have to keep few things in mind. Such as:
Try first Yin energy in your home.
As your bedroom is a relaxing place, do not put television, exercising machines, or things related to office.
As the basic effect of Yin energy is relaxation so bedroom is the center point of relaxation.
You also need a slight effect of Yang energy then you can put dark red candles, it will decorate your bedroom as well as give active energies to
you.

The connection between Yin and Yang is often described as the sunny place meaning Yang while shady place denote Yin.
Yin denotes soft, slow, diffuse, wet, and cold. And it is related with femininity, nighttime, moon, earth, water.
Yang denotes hard, fast, focused, dry, and hot. And it is related with masculinity, daytime, sun, sky, fire.

Bagua
Bagua or originally named as pa-k'ua is nothing but the Feng Shui
Map. This ancient chart or map represents the trigrams consisting of
many solid and broken lines with the mirror in the center. It was
created by King Wen of China, 3000 years back. It is said that Bagua
