Announcement

My name is Doug Davidson; I am a Grad V auditor and Case Supervisor. I have audited and case
supervised thousands of hours both on staff and in the field; and have achieved the Grade Chart level
of OTIII.
I have, for some months now, been doing an ethics program that was personally approved by LRH. It
is an extremely good program that was drawn up by one of the original Class VIII course graduates,
Mary Freeman. For me it has thoroughly ferreted out an enemy valence that had predisposed me to
being blind to out ethics around me (thereby causing a hang-up in doubt). One does truly tend to get
the condition one fails to assign by becoming the effect of that which you are empowering. If nothing
else, it tends to water you down as a being.
In the early 70s, I was a Vancouver Mission Public who had just completed the Primary Rundown and
the Hubbard Standard Dianetics Course. The Primary Rundown is a course that accelerates your ability
to learn and apply. The Dianetics course teaches you a standard procedure of erasing traumatic
moments from another persons memory (thereby rendering that person less effect of their own
mental demons and more in command of life). It was remarkable to see, deliver and experience such
gains.
The Vancouver Mission was an extraordinary place. From the first moment I arrived I experienced
something that I could not find anywhere else: the feeling of being in a very safe place where
everyone mattered. And it was contagious.
From the outset, there was Eric Strudwick, the supervisor of the Communications Course, who
ensured that we properly studied and drilled each other on how to communicate properly and grant
each other beingness (granting beingness is an ability to see another or other viewpoints and grant
that they exist from your perspective and allow them to be). Granting of beingness does not mean
that non-optimum behaviour in others is to be condoned, but rather, all behaviour and life can be
viewed as it is. As a result, most non-optimum behaviour seemed to dissipate in this environment and
that which did not was easily made viewable in a proper session environment, where an individual
would decide to use a more optimum approach to things based on his own judgement. This is how
both the staff and the public of the Mission tended to operate and it was contagious.
The Mission offered both free and paid for services and people would show up just to hang out.
When services were paid for you would go to see the registrar, Ray Rosse who was one of the coolest
guys I ever met. He truly cared about you and your life (like everyone else there) and it showed.
When you wanted to do a paid for service, he would help you with references to materials that would
enhance your ability to receive the service (but in such a way that your life expanded as a result in
other words it was done within the framework of your reality). And the services were affordable.
There was Betty Lunde and her daughter Janet. Both were ClassVIII Auditors and Case Supervisors
who were trained by L. Ron Hubbard. Betty and Janet both audited and Case Supervised and Betty
supervised the HQS course and Upper Indoc TRS (these were courses that were done after one
finished the Training Routines Course supervised by Eric Strudwick). Needless to say, the gains in both
training and from receiving auditing were tremendous with great increases in awareness, competence
and the ability to grant beingness.
There was the Mission Holder Elsie Griffith, who established the Mission and built it up with auditors,
case supervisors and course supervisors (although she later mysteriously flipped out, she
established the Vancouver Mission, helped to send a lot of public to receive auditing including their
upper levels and set the stage for further Mission growth).
There was Bob Nelson, who as Executive Director of the Mission set up an on policy (following
administrative principles as established by L Ron Hubbard) organizational pattern that accelerated the
Missions growth.
There were Class VI and VIII auditor and Case Supervisors Harvey and Jassana Crowie.
There was my good friend Larry who introduced me to the Mission. There were all sorts of people who
really cared about you like Bruce and Jenny Clark, Inge Mckee, Dave Brownlee, Wren Long, Morgie
Palmer (and the list goes on and on, all of them, wonderful individuals).

There was no need for any sort of advertising. People just showed up to go free (sometimes by
referral and sometimes otherwise). It was what was referred to as an ideal scene. From what I
understand, there were other Missions and Organizations throughout the world that operated in a
similar fashion, including the original Vancouver Organization as established by Graham Leese.
The Vancouver Organization in those early days was a place where auditor training and delivery was
being done in abundance where a high degree of granting of beingness existed.
Yes, those were good days. Things were simple and understanding was high. Unfortunately there has
been a marked disappearance in a good many of the good hearted people who helped to create that
ideal scene and things have degenerated since that era, including the closing of Vancouver Mission.
Although there have been several attempts to restore that ideal scene, none seem to have fully
succeeded.
The good hearted attitude slipped into the beingness of Militaristic Used Car Salesmen who seem
more preoccupied with status, statistics and money than with the concerns of their fellow man. Of the
attempts made to revive the ideal scene, several included group engram handlings (where a group
works to dissipate a group trauma by recalling and discussing it), but with no lasting success.

So what Happened?

Vancouver Organization founder, Graham Leese dies in a motorcycle accident (the police report
stated that he was hit twice by hit and run).
The Vancouver Organization conducts a Committee of Evidence (a fact finding justice action) on
several auditors and case supervisors resulting in demotions and resignations, leaving the
Vancouver Organization Technical Division devoid of delivery personnel (a delivery level to which
they have never since recovered).
A Vancouver Organization public commits suicide and was found in the Vancouver Mission parking
lot.
Vancouver Mission founder, Elsie Griffiths mysteriously goes off the deep end, claiming that she was
being followed and the Mission was being infiltrated.
In the ensuing confusion, Bob Nelson the Mission Executive Director leaves the Mission with his wife
Janet Nelson (nee Lunde). Bob becomes the Executive Director of the Organization and Janet
becomes the Case Supervisor at the Vancouver Organization.
The Vancouver Organization Qualification Division Secretary, Ted Humphrey is taken off post (the
Qualifications Division is responsible for ensuring the standard delivery of all technical,
administrative and ethical technology).
The main dissemination line for all of Scientology gets shut down at the Mission Holders Conference
in the 80s and consequently, the Mission Network is in essence, hijacked and their bank accounts
pilfered by the Financial Police. This results in the mass resignation of many of the Mission
Holders. This occurs concurrently with the mass firing and resignation of many Class VI, Class VIII
and Class XII auditors and Case Supervisors (including Snr. CS., David Mayo, L Ron Hubbards
personal auditor). Long term Dissemination, Auditing and Training statistics have never recovered.
Prices for services are unilaterally increased in an off policy fashion.
The Hubbard Association of Scientologists International, which was set up by L Ron Hubbard (all
that was required for church membership) is eliminated and replaced by another corporation, the
International Association of Scientologists.
A large number of people officially leave the Church of Scientology in the Vancouver area including
many highly trained technical delivery people.
Janet Nelson (Class VIII, trained on the Flag Ship) is taken off post of Case Supervisor of the
Vancouver Organization and is ordered to retrain at her expense or re-sign a five year staff
contract. She decides not to do this and is put onto the post of registrar (she was a fantastic Case
Supervisor making this a gross mis-utilization of a staff member; a real tragedy).
The Vancouver Organization has no Case Supervisor
A technical mission comes from Los Angeles to find a replacement for Janet. They recruit Carol
Coburn as a temporary replacement.

Carol holds the post for over three years. She later replaces herself and not too long after she
leaves the Church of Scientology and joins the Advanced Ability Center to provide services in the
Vancouver area (the Advanced Ability Center was established by the Ex-Senior Case Supervisor
International for the Church of Scientology, David Mayo, L Ron Hubbards personal auditor, who was
hand picked for that post by L Ron Hubbard, but later ousted by David Miscavige).
Bob Nelson comes back to the Vancouver Mission and it starts to recover, despite interference from
the Guardians Office.
Bob has a heart attack and has to leave the Mission for health reasons
A sequence of Executive Directors including Al Wiebe assist the Mission and it starts to recover from
the confusion
Al Wiebe (the Vancouver Mission Executive Director) and Dale Landers (a Class VI auditor) receive a
Committee of Evidence and Justice action for co-auditing an action called objectives (the very
auditing action that is being ordered to be applied to all cases by the Church of Scientology in a
wholesale fashion today).
L Ron Hubbard establishes a line of succession, which included an organizational pattern of checks,
balances and individuals to ensure that the Church would continue per Standard Ethics, Technology
Bulletins and Policy Letters.
L Ron Hubbard dies.
Over a period of a few years, the pattern of checks, balances and individuals that LRH had left in
place to manage the Church gets mysteriously pushed aside. Church management ends up in the
hands of David Miscavige, without any checks, balances and individuals in place to oversee and
correct the running of the Church. The door is now WIDE OPEN to incorrect applications and
wrong technology.
The Church becomes an international tax agent for the tax departments of all countries when it
signs a deal with the IRS agreeing to keep Church public in line regarding the payment of taxes.
The Church also enforces tax compliance on all of its international members to their respective
countries (via sec checks and eligibility without them also having the benefit of the IRS Tax writeoffs, which afforded only to US Church members).
Over time, one of the main Scientology entities that are formed as a result of a restructuring of
Church Corporations includes an IRS tax rep/lawyer on its board of directors.
Under David Miscaviges tenure, oversight is lacking leaving a gaping, wide open door to incorrect
applications and wrong technology. Consequently, there have been several alterations of the
technology including, but not limited to:
a)
Waiting for the needle to float with the added and arbitrary definition that states that a floating
needle must manifest three swings. This opens the door to the overrunning of procedures, which in
turn leads to case invalidation.
b) The Original TR Course gets supplanted by a watered down Success Through Communication
Course
c)
The Golden Age of Tech introduces a series of drills in an attempt to create a memory system
to assist auditors in session. Older, properly trained auditors, still maintain a high level understanding
of and granting of beingness for their preclears. Newer auditors tending to rely on the drilling
system, lack sufficient beingness and level of understanding necessary for consistent excellent
results.
d) The Primary Rundown has been degraded technically by being dropped from use and the Key to
Life dropped entirely, leaving the door open to a lower standard of study.
e)
There is a shift in importance from the training of auditors in the Academy to the study of the
basics (although the books and tapes are important items to learn, the training of auditors has been
sidetracked by non-academy level study courses, hence less auditors and auditing).
f)
The Student Hat Course tapes are altered as part of the Golden Age of Tech II.
g) Organizations go off policy via the subsidization of buildings from public donations rather than
through income garnered through standard delivery and allocated per the building fund according to
standard Financial Planning.
h)
Because of out TRs, less granting of beingness in session and misapplication as a result of the
use of the Out Tech of the three swing floating needle interpretation, many peculiars are manifesting

ARCX Needles that are being mistaken for Floating needles resulting in lowered tone in Preclears. Poor
results go on undetected because of buried redtags due to miscalled ARCX FNs.All
Strange Occurrences.And More.. Including the mishandling of a public who died while in the
care of the Church and under direct supervision of David Miscavige.
There has also been a recent mass exodus of celebrities, Scientology VIPs and senior staff such as:
The Head of the RTC, Marty Rathbun
The Head of DSA and key Church spokesman, Mike Rinder
The Captain of the Flag Land Base, Debbie Cook
Church spokesman, Tommy Davis
Top Class XII auditor and Case Supervisor, Karen De La Carrier
And they have all had similar accounts of themselves and other staff being mistreated by: Being put
in the hole Deprived of food Beaten up by David Miscavige. David Miscaviges mother, father, brother
and niece have all left the Church and there has also been the unaccountable and mysterious
disappearance of President of the Church, Heber Jentzsch.
All of this being shielded from Church staff and public with a different picture is being presented by
Church Management. The threat of ethics handling, interrogation, denial of services and
excommunication is being used to keep public and staff from doing their own investigation and to
keep them in line.
In the light of such circumstances, it makes the self correction of the Church extremely difficult, if not
impossible Regardless, I have had tremendous personal gains by adhering to the tenets of
Scientology. In an effort to see others benefit, I trained in and applied these to others.
During the early years of this application, I was in the very good company of like minded people who
shared the same views as L Ron Hubbard in regards to helping others to enhance their awareness and
eradicate aberrated behaviour. I finished my Standard Dianetics Course, but the Vancouver Mission
could only train auditors on the Dianetics Course and you had to go to the Vancouver Organization to
do the Internship.
So I went to the Vancouver Organization to do so. At that time, I found the level of granting of
beingness in the Vancouver Organization to be far less than that of the Mission. And as time went on,
I had a seat at ring side, while watching the scene degenerate even more, right before my very
eyes.
Compromise 1: I allowed myself to be talked into joining staff at the Vancouver Organization, but
really wanted to get trained at the Organization and go back to the Vancouver Mission to apply
auditing technology there. When I tried to get back to my original purpose, I was sent to the Ethics
Department to have my Ethics handled. This turned out to be my first compromise. Scientology
Ethics, per definition entails the contemplation of optimum survival. Ethics are a personal matter
based on ones own integrity.
When furnished with the correct data a person will usually come up proper decisions. Because my
optimum solution for me (to go work at the Mission) was constantly rejected by the Ethics Officers at
the Vancouver Organization (I believe Drew Burnham and John Spick at the time), I finally gave in
and stayed on Vancouver Organization staff.
At that time, I did notice that there were not many auditors on the Vancouver Organization staff (I
believe there was Danny Osbourne and Laurie Schumacher were the only auditors left on staff). I
completed my Dianetic Internship and started training on the Academy Levels and replaced Laurie
(these are more advanced auditing levels beyond Standard Dianetics).
Compromise 2: During the training of those Levels you are assigned a twin. My twin had delivered
more than his share of auditing to several of his previous course twins and he had been promised that
his next twin would fulfil the delivery of auditing due to him. Now that I was his twin, I felt personally
obliged to see that he received a return flow of auditing delivery that had been promised to him by the
Organization. I felt that that this was an ethical decision to deliver what was promised on behalf of
the Organization. Regardless, I was pushed by a senior Organization terminal, Jay Schumacher to
ignore my concerns for my twin and go flat out to complete my Levels training (as it turned out, he
was pushing me so I could replace his wife Laurie who was finishing her staff contract and Jay needed
Laurie to get a job to support him so he could work full time in the Guardians Office).

This was one of several incidents that portray how the Organization (which at one point in time really
cared about its personnel) began to degenerate into a self serving institution.
Compromise 3: There were numerous incidents of people being told to get loans to purchase services
that had been overpriced through a series of non-standard and off-policy price increases (pushed by
International Management). Although I personally disagreed with this operating basis, I kept on
delivering auditing in the hope that it would all someday be corrected. This was a wrong decision on
my part. Although I did help to work with people to enhance their gains by auditing, I was condoning
a non-optimum and out-ethics scene.
Compromise 4: At one time, Vancouver had more OTs in its field, second only to that of Los Angeles.
In the early 80s in Vancouver, however, there was a mass exodus from the Church of Scientology.
Many were keynote members of the Vancouver area. I was invited to be part of this evacuation. I was
invited by a public who had just resigned from the Church himself. I found this to be curious and
asked him how does one do so and if there was a routing form for such a thing. I guess I was more or
less humouring him and not taking it all very seriously. My attitude was that if there was something
that was out, you should write a report and put it on proper the channels and per policy, it would be
rectified. I felt that splintering was not the correct route and that we should try to use our Tech and
Policy to correct things internally. He continued to try and convince me stating that the David
McCabbage (not knowing the name Miscavige, I mistook it to be McCabbage) was in cahoots with the
CIA and that the Church had been taken over by the CIA.
He also said the real Church was intact and under the control of David Mayo. All that I knew of David
Mayo at the time that he was handpicked by L Ron Hubbard to be the Senior Case Supervisor
International and was then demoted. At that time, I did not know the names of people uplines and
those matters were foreign to me. He then explained that Carol Coburn had joined up with David Mayo
and that she would love to talk to me.
It was getting late (about 2:00 am) and I had a big work load for the next day. Nevertheless, we went
to see Carol. I tried to end things quickly so we could all go home and get some sleep. I asked her if it
was true that she was working with David Mayo. I figured she would say no and that would be that.
But to my surprise, she said she was working with David Mayo and had even gone down to Santa
Barbara to his Advanced Ability Center and had been trained by him to set up operations in the
Vancouver area. I asked her if she was certain she was doing the right thing and she assured me that
she was.
The unthinkable was happening and I was reeling from it. The person under whom I audited and
apprenticed as a Case Supervisor was leaving the Church of Scientology and I was her replacement in
the Church. What does one do? I slept on it.
The next day, I was ushered up to the Office of Special Affairs to see Janet Laveau and pressured to
write a Knowledge Report on Carol Coburn. I said that it was a non-event and that Carol was leaving
the Church and I was not. I also said and that I asked Carol about the consequences if she was wrong.
This is when I was first introduced to Mass Security Checking.Three individuals from somewhere in
the United States from some post were on a mission to clean up the field and sort out the mass
exodus in Vancouver situation. One person operated the meter and the other two stood, at each side
of me with me sitting in the middle in a chair and I was holding the electrodes that were connected to
e-meter.
They proceeded to question me (although I remember reading some reference regarding the
technique of interrogation, this was all foreign to me). I told them that the interrogation tact was
unnecessary. I had nothing to hide and more or less ignored their questions and told them about my
visit with Carol. They called her up and got her to come to the Office of Special Affairs and Carol and I
were told to work on our ethics conditions.
To be honest, I really did not know what was going on. I had no data. I was not familiar with David
Mayo, David McCabbage, the CIA or anyone else uplines. I was just an auditor and case supervisor
trying to do my best to help people at a local level. But that was the whole problem. ..It
was good that I was doing my job, but it was bad that I had entrusted the administration of the
Church to other people allowing them to feed me data and interpret events for me.
The only information that other staff and I received about the goings on in the Church came from the
Office of Special Affairs. There was no Internet and even if there had been we most likely would have

been forbidden to look at it. So the full picture of the goings within the Church was being directly
monitored and filtered by someone else (its called propaganda).
How can we be fully responsible to see, evaluate and judge any information to correct the scene when
the information has been filtered by others? We cant. Hence, we were OTHER
DETERMINED....If Only I Knew Then
Compromise 5 I kept on as a technical terminal at the Vancouver Organization, but throughout the
years, we never seemed to expand. Feeling that something was lacking, I felt I needed more technical
training and pulled myself off the lines to do so. Then the Golden Age of Tech came out. Although I
have always been a strong proponent of drilling, I could not fathom the huge invalidation heaped on
all previous auditors and auditing by David Miscavige at the release of the Golden Age, namely: The
blind leading the blind. What an insult and technical degrade. It not only denigrated all auditing,
training and case gain prior that point, it was also a pompous slight against all of the excellent work
and accomplishments of L Ron Hubbard.
Regardless, I did do my Golden Age 0 to IV training in Vancouver as well as my New Era Dianetic at
the Saint Hill Organization in Los Angeles. When I recently arrived in LA for my upgrades, I was happy
to be back on a runway leading to doing my Briefing Course (a course that gives one all of the theory
and practical application in chronological order from the beginning of Dianetics and Scientology to the
present).
The supervision was good, save but one major point; the redefinition of a floating needle. I could not
believe what I was seeing or hearing. Someone other than LRH had redefined a floating needle.
These supervisors (at what was one of the top training organizations on the planet) were not only
buying it, they were pushing it. Such an act jeopardizes all of the potential case gain of all auditing
everywhere. Meanwhile, when I go to enquire about my training line up at the Advanced Organization,
I find out that co-audits on the Class VIII Course no longer exist and that some non-LRH reference is
being cited that prevents auditors from auditing OTs as a Class VIII.
I started to feel like I had come out of a time warp. Things had changed so drastically, Was this the
same philosophy and technology I embraced so many years before??? And it gets worse.. My
wife, Annette, who had recovered from cancer in 2004, had received 180 hours of advanced auditing
at the Advanced Organization of Los Angeles in 2008 that did not go well. She had previously achieved
the advanced level of OT III which is three levels beyond the State of Clear and for the sixth time she
was being told that she was not clear and was put onto the auditing level of Dianetics, in explicit
violation of HCOB Dianetics Forbidden on OTs. This turned out to be a huge snarl that resulted in her
being asked security type interrogation questions asking for withholds that did not exist and would not
clear (withholds of nothing). In 180 hours of auditing I would expect that things, if standard, would
get resolved and the Case Supervisor would not go on hoping.
Regardless, in 2012 Annette was receiving a patch up of that auditing. To their credit, the Advanced
Organization gave her a re-credit of 25 hours, but this was neither asked for nor required by us. We
just wanted usual, standard auditing.
Prior to our going to Los Angeles, Annette had received a communication from a friend regarding
Debbie Cook (ex-Captain of the Flag Land Base who had recently left the Church). So Annette arrived
at the Advanced Organization in Los Angeles for services, and originated the Debbie Cook information
to the Director of Processing and the Case Supervisor. Annette was interrogated incessantly on her
loyalty and was sent to an ethics person named Julian Swartz who promised to set her straight with
the truth, but instead went into a character assassination of not only Debbie Cook, but of the wife of
the President of the Church of Scientology (Heber Jentzsch) Karen De La Carrier.
As an aside, Heber has not been seen in public for many years and seems to have disappeared.
Julian told Annette that Karen was a wanabe actress and a gold digging hussy and that all she
wanted was Hebers money Annette did not even know who Karen De La Carrier was and as it turned
out, this character slur was a lie fabricated against a very good and high producing Class XII Auditor
and Case Supervisor and in addition, had nothing to do with Annettes original origination.
I was told by the registrar that Annette needed more hours of auditing for repair and was led to
believe that it would act as an assist to help her to bolster her physical recovery from previous effects
of illness so I pushed to pay for 50 more hours.

As the auditing wore on however, it turned out to become nothing more than another interrogation
exercise regarding the subject of Debbie Cook (a person that Annette knew nothing of, nor had been
involved with in any way). Annette said that it was reminiscent of the auditing she had at the
Advanced Organization of Los Angeles in 2008, which bogged terribly. I put two and two together.
I found out that auditors were misapplying the handling, the proving out of a read, and that a great
many auditors were not able to grant sufficient beingness to their preclears to create a safe enough
auditing environment for auditing to occur.
.Could it be that auditors were not granting beingness to their preclears, or worse, being trained
into being mechanical in their approach? Could it be that, per the technology, when the meter
misreads due to an improper communication cycle of the auditor that the auditor then mistakenly
mishandles the read believing it to be valid when in fact it is a false or protest read? Could it be
that rather than properly resolving this with the preclear, the auditor mistakenly presses on resulting
in a preclear in apathy resulting in an ARCX floating needle being accepted as an end phenomenon,
with the preclear out the bottom? ..Could it be that when the preclear is actually getting wins, this
gets invalidated by the auditor waiting to see the floating needle swing three times, thus invalidating
any win or realization the preclear might have had due to a lack of acknowledgement or by the
preclear having his or her attention drawn to the auditor who is gawking at the meter while waiting for
the floating needle to occur? .Could it be that the pushing of donations for building appearance is
being accented as a wrong solution to remedy crashed international delivery statistics that are due to
out tech ? Could things have gotten this bad? I wonder. Annette finished her hours and I
wrapped up the section of the Briefing Course that I was on and we escaped from LA and came
home.
When we got home we started to investigate, in earnest, to try to find out what had happened to our
Church. Not trusting Church of Scientology sources (having been propagandized by years of parochial
pabulum) we went online and took our time using data analysis as a guide to sift through the data.
We found several things, such as; The Hubbard Association of Scientologists International (HASI) was
replaced by the International Association of Scientologists (IAS). First there was the yearly
membership, then came the lifetime membership and next came Honorary Donations. It all started
as a vehicle to raise money to handle some emergencies. The IAS soon met its funding goals and
continued to grow a huge war chest. It now has a life of its own with an insatiable appetite for more
donations from Church staff and public who are already struggling to pay for over-priced services.
Although the requesting of donations is in violation of Church policy (other than for properly priced
services), the misapplication continues to this day. The push for donations increased with the
introduction of other projects such as the Super Power Project a series of actions that boost a
persons power that was supposed to have been released in the late 70s (but was only recently
released have not been released after raising over $140,000,000).
This incessant raising of money is a huge outpoint and I believe that we have lost our way and have
sold ourselves short on how we should be applying the technology and treating others. Church
Management controls its public and staff via information filtering, punishment and the threat of
punishment (denial of receiving upper level states and interrogations) This is epitomized in the

Mission Defects as David Miscavige Faces Leadership
Crisis

the Lembergers mission in Haifa, and then two smaller missions and, Lemberger estimates, four or
five additional field auditors. The Dror Center, with about 50 people associated with it, is a healthy
size for a mission, and its a significant part of Scientologys modest presence in the country. On
January 2, Lemberger received a copy of Debbie Cooks infamous New Years Eve e-mail. Cook, a wellknown former executive in the church, stunned her fellow Scientologists by putting out a lengthy
message detailing how Miscavige has turned the church over to extreme fundraising and is getting

away from the precepts of Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard. The church sued Cook for sending
the e-mail, and then it later reached a settlement with her in return for her promising to say no more
publicly about her experiences. But Cooks New Years Eve message continues to do major damage, as
other longtime, loyal Scientologists announce that they are leaving the organization because of the
same concerns with David Miscaviges leadership.Lemberger reacted to Debbie Cooks e-mail by
forwarding it to church officials, asking them to comment on it. Instead, the churchs Office of Special
Affairs put him in ethicsunder a kind of interrogation programand asked him to read a copy of
the churchs propaganda magazine, Freedom, which contained attacks on the credibility of numerous
former church officials who spoke up for a 2009 Tampa Bay Times expose, including Marty Rathbun,
Amy Scobee, and Tom DeVocht. The magazine is disgusting. Its evil, Lemberger says. It has a
photo of Tom DeVocht scratching his balls, like every man doesnt do that. It had a photo of Amy
Scobee that made her look bad. And the writing, its gross and ugly. So gross, you know theyre lying.
Its just hatred, and a Scientologist never hates. As weve seen in the past, OSAs use
of Freedom backfired badly. The Freedom magazine had referred to Marty Rathbun having a blog. So
I went to the Internet, finally, he says. A loyal (if often complaining) member of Scientology for more
than 30 years, Lemberger had never explored the Net to see what people were saying about his
churchand he knew nothing about the crisis it was in. But now he absorbed as much he could
stand. I found out that the world has changed, he says. Besides the controversies, he also realized
that there was a burgeoning independence movement that takes several different forms in Europe and
the US. And these groups are using the same materials as the official church, but without the layers of
control and constant demands for large donations. Everything now is on the Internet. All the Bridge,
all the training Bridge, the auditing Bridge. Theres no more monopoly, Lemberger says. He was
stunned to realize that L. Ron Hubbards entire Bridge to Total Freedom is now available to anyone
with a computer and Internet access. Dani said he came to the realization that his entire mission could
continue to honor Hubbards ideas, but break away from the church itself.My people in the mission
know Tami, they know me. All of our staff are well paid. All of our customers get great service. I
manage it my way, he says. I took my staff together and told them about Debbie Cook. I
encouraged them all to do their own research. He even cited a Hubbard policy to justify their
research project. As the church says, Think for yourself, his wife Tami adds. So the people at his
mission began reading stories about Scientology on the Internet.Everyone came to the same
conclusionthe church is fucked. The orgs are useless. Miscavige is a lunatic, Dani says. We decided
we wanted to leave the church. The Lembergers own the mission, and under a franchise license send
ten percent of their income to the church. In a letter, Lemberger notified David Miscavige that they
now consider themselves independent from the church and will no longer be sending money. Last
month, the Lembergers flew to south Texas to meet with Marty Rathbun, formerly the second-highest
ranking official in the church who now is the most visible member of the independence
movement because of his blog, which is harshly critical of Miscavige. It is unprecedented, as far as I
can recallno mission, certainly no group of this size and productivity, has told management to shove
off, Rathbun says. The only thing like it he can remember were some mission holders refusing to sign
new charters in the early 1980s. But theres never been a mission that simply defected because of its
problems with how the church itself is being run. Rathbun calls it a tectonic shift in the world of
Scientology. But he also wanted the Lembergers to understand that they shouldnt go looking for
anyone else to be their new leader. I really tried to emphasize that independents have got to get over
the idea that they need a leader or any type of management. They were sort of looking for me to
supervise or direct them, he says.
I strongly suspect that the occurrences that I have mentioned and numerous others did not occur by
accident. I believe that the Church of Scientology at the highest levels of International Management
has long been infiltrated and taken over (stating as early as the late 70s and early 80s). In my
opinion, we have all been had and have come to the conclusion that:
The technology as developed by L. Ron Hubbard works and works every time when properly
applied.
There was a time in the 70s when study tech was in, the Mission Network was strong, auditors were
being trained, co-audits were numerous and prices, per policy, were affordable; and that this same
situation can be created again.

Organizational buildings are of secondary importance to the proper caring for the public and staff.
The reason for Dianetic and Scientology Missions and Organizations is to properly train auditors and
audit PCs. The use of standard ethics tech and policy when applied will make this occur.
It is not possible to run out the group engram of Vancouver (and very possibly the group engram
extant in other cities) until all of the factors can be viewed; the major factor being a severe out
ethics situation with the head of the Church and very possibly a full blown church infiltration and
hostile takeover of the Church.

fucked. The orgs are useless. Miscavige is a lunatic,
With disconnection from the suppressive, resurgence will occur and an ideal environment can be
built; a very safe place where everyone matters, where people just show up to be free; what was
referred to as an ideal scene.
The Church of Scientology is being run by one individual who will not be corrected, is beyond
reproach and has sufficient group agreement to maintain that position at this time.
By thoroughly confronting and ferreting out my enemy valence I am no longer predisposed to being
blind to the out ethics that is happening within the Church of Scientology. In other words, I can see
what is going on and I am not hung up in doubt. Rather than getting the condition I have failed to
assign, I declare the Church of Scientology to be in a Condition Of Treason and David Miscavige
(per the findings and Recommendations of the Committee of Evidence duly convened in 1983 by
the OT Committee of the United Kingdom) to be a Suppressive Person.
I will continue to deliver the Technology, but I have left the Church of Scientology
Now that I am truly empowered and no longer watered down as a being, I am getting out of Non
Existence by announcing to you that I am initiating a project to deliver Standard Technology to create
a scene in Western Canada reminiscent of the original days of the Vancouver Mission; an ideal
environment, a very safe place where everyone matters and where people will just show up to be
free; what is referred to as an ideal scene and I want to work with you to create this scene. My door
