Before configuring the platform, you should draw a map representing the
different hardware elements and the connections between them.
Use the following naming conventions, as shown above:
port 2 on the system LAN card:
to the local TSU0,
LAN L0,
lanId 0

All fields of the LAN configuration screen are automatically filled in after the
initial configuration creation (refer to the platform configuration module). We
recommend that you do not change those values, so that the naming rules are
always respected.

All fields of the TSU configuration screen are automatically filled in after the
initial configuration creation (refer to the platform configuration module). We

always respected.
Note : the mac address is the one of the LAN port in the TSU. This has nothing to
do with any host mac address.

In order to check the state of the TSU, use the screen Monitoring hardware in
the SS7 Monitor. It displays the state of each TSU together with the contained
TSC.
Note that the stack must be started to launch the manager command:
ss7MgrStart
The state of the TSU is given for both the active and standby stack.
The possible states for a TSU are:
ACTIVE: all configured TSCs are running.
DEGRADED: At least one TSC card is failed.
NOT RESPONDING: the TSU is either powered off, unreachable (for instance
LAN unplugged) or booting.
The LEDs on the rear of the TSU also give useful monitoring information. Refer
to the Platform Validation and Troubleshooting Guide for more information
about monitoring TSCs, diagnosing problems and for information about the fan
and DC48 status.
