art & photography exhibit
celebrating daylilies
July 29 – August 28 2010

ELIGIBILITY
BAGA’s Garden Party is a juried art exhibit
open to all artists and photographers, and
must include daylilies. No reproductions or
copies will qualify. The jury deadline is
May 28, 2010.
AWARDS
Awards will include cash awards selected by
donors. Two special awards, The Jim
Breidenbach Award, and the Florence
Nordstrom Award, as well as a Gardener’s
Choice cash award will also be given.
REGISTRATION
Return the completed entry form and
$15 entry fee for two entries plus $5 for a
third entry to Bismarck Art & Galleries
Association by May 28, 2010. A digital
image or quality photograph of each entry
must be submitted with the registration
form to be used by the jury committee to
select final pieces for the show. Jury selection
will be completed by June 14, 2010. Artists
and photographers accepted into the
exhibition will notifed on June 14 by mail.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Pieces must include daylilies. Please type or
print all information required. Entry
deadline is May 28, 2010. Late entries will
be not be accepted. The maximum size for
entries is 30 inches by 36 inches, including
frame. The width and height of each entry
must be listed on the entry form. Entries
must be framed and securely wired for hang-
ing. No sawtooth hangers. Entries for sale
are to be priced complete with frame. All
entries must be labeled with labels provided
on the entry form.
SALES
A 25% commission will be retained by
BAGA on all sales. Artwork will be sold for
the price listed on the entry form. Money
from artwork sales will be mailed to the
artist after the close of the show.
INSURANCE
BAGA insures all work from delivery until
pickup. BAGA is not responsible for damage
or loss occuring during transport.
DELIVERY AND PICK-UP
Hand-delivered items must be received at
BAGA on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 between
9 am and 4 pm. All mailed entries are due
on or before July 21, 2010. Mailed items
must be sent PREPAID to:

422 E. Front Ave.
Bismarck, ND 58504
Entries must be mailed in a sturdy, reusable
container with a return label. Return
postage for all mailed items must
accompany each shipped entry or be
returned C.O.D. Exhibited items may be
claimed at the BAGA office from 1-4 pm
Monday, August 30, 2010. If the artist or
buyer is not personally picking up entries,
he/she must provide written permission for
its release.
