Battelle will immediately launch of Gridquants new HELM-Flow product. HELM-Flow is the offline planning tool built on HELM that
seamlessly integrates with existing tools such as PSLF and PSSe to allow greater insight into transmission modeling through enhanced
visualization of grid conditions, easy identification of modeling errors/issues, advanced PV/QV analysis, and operationally feasible
solutions all the way to the point of collapse.
The new campaign signals Battelles expansion of solutions offerings to make the grid smarter, with key tools and support services in the
distribution, transmission and demand response areas.
Our expanding relationship with Battelle allows us to better bring our revolutionary new products and technologies to the market, said
Gridquants CEO, Ross Harding. Battelles deep technical, research and application knowledge in energy and the grid provides customers
with the kind of hands-on support that allows them to get practical and valuable results from our products in ...

HELM Creator Toni Trias Presents at the DOE Advanced Grid Modeling
Workshop
Posted in: Feature, Gridquant News, Industry News
February 20, 2013
Gridquant was fortunate to have HELM creator Toni Trias to represent the company at the prestigious Advanced Grid Modeling Workshop
(AGMW) in February.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energys Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, AGMW provides an overview of the
Departments modeling-related research activities pertinent to the electric system, and to lay out a research and development roadmap that
applies advancements in mathematics and computation to improve the performance and capability of power system software tools and/or
operator platforms, for the benefit of enhanced system reliability and flexibility. The event was co-hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory
(ONRL) and University of Tennessee, with planning support by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory.
This particular workshop leverages significant insights from previous stakeholder meetings. Over the past six years, OE and the Office of
Sciences Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) Program have supported several workshops to discuss how mathematical
and computational advancements could benefit grid modernization efforts.
Many of the electric grid and utility industry leaders attended. The full program can be found at ORNLs website.
