2014
An Essential Guide for your
first month at Taylors University

Welcome.
Selamat Datang.
.
No matter how it is said in your language - you are WELCOME to Taylors University!
We are delighted that you have chosen Taylors University to continue your journey in
education. We, in the Student Experience Department and the Orientation Committee,
are committed to assisting you in your transition into Taylors University and getting you
started on your way to academic success.
The first thing to get you going on your journey is our Orientation Programme.
Orientation allows you to experience Taylors personally, during which you will be
introduced to our facilities, staff, procedures, services, student activities, and many
other related features. You will also be participating in consultative sessions with the
academic advisors, register for classes and obtain your timetable. The Orientation
Committee works closely with the various faculties and staff to give you the best
overall experience to kick off your years here. From information about transportation
and accommodation, buying textbooks, to choosing clubs and societies to belong to,
or just finding out the best places to study in our new Lakeside campus, we cover
everything and make sure that your orientation experience is comprehensive.
With the Student Kit in your hand, you will also find useful information to get started,
to settle in and to get involved. In the years to come, we encourage you to engage
yourself actively in the learning experience, strive for academic excellence and turn
yourself into an all-rounder.
Once again, on behalf of Taylors University, we welcome you to the Taylors family and
wish you the absolute best in your education and personal growth. As Lao-Tzu put it,
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Therefore, we hope this
orientation will be a great start to your journey in education with us!
