Objective

In this project an attempt is made to design a computer system for the cyber caf that makes the
management of recording user details, internet usage and billing much easier. The objective of this
software is to maintain the details of users, cabins and login history. Through this system we
provide facility of prepaid and postpaid accounts respectively for account users and walkthrough
users. it has the features like adding, viewing, editing of user details, cabin details, recharge option
for prepaid users, billing, tariff settings, etc.
Problems in Existing System
Presently, most of the functions in the Cyber cafs are done manually. Even though there
are LAN connections and an administrator system, an automated system is not introduced. The
owner records the details of the clients, login and logout time, cabin and has to calculate the
amount. All these details are written in book. Also there is no special system to allocate cabins
efficiently. The owner also has to calculate the total income of a day. The present system has
following limitations:

Limitations in report generations

Manual recording consumes excess time

Chances of error

Difficulty in allocating cabins

The retrieval of information regarding a client is time consuming

Lack of billing system and manual calculation of daily income

Repeated recording of frequent user details

Focusing on the drawbacks and inadequacies of the existing system, the new system is
designed which could well replace the existing system.
Solution of These Problems

Reliability: The project performs intended function with required precision; hence this
project is very reliable.

Feasibility: The project maintenance is very easy and modifications can be made in the
existing system in future. All data will locate as centralized.

Security: Security measures are taken to avoid mishandling of database. Password


restrictions are provided to enter into database. A correct password only will access to the
database

Hardware Requirement The CYBER CAFE MANAGEMEN is an application which is developed in vb 6.0. This
application has some basic system requirements which are given further:

128 MB RAM

MIN.200MB HDD SPACE

CD ROM DRIVE TO INSTALL

MOUSE

KEY BOARD

COLOR MONITOR

Software RequirementTo run the CYBER CAFE MANAGEMENT some of the softwares are necessary on the
computer system.
Those are listed below:

Form :LOGIN FORM: It is used to login the authorized admin to calculate the payment.

MDI MAIN FORM: This form is used to provide the various forms of Cyber caf management.
CUSTOMER ENTRY FORM: This form is used to collect the information of a customer.
GET PAYMENT FORM: This form is used to receive the payment of a customer.
COMPUTER TIMER FORM: This form is used to display the computers timer.
CALCULET PAYMENT FORM: This form is used to calculate the payment of customer.
CUSTOMER LIST FORM: This form is used to display the list of log-in customers and their payment.
ReportsBill- This report display the payment bill of a customer.

Conclusion

The project has been appreciated by all the users in the organization.
It is easy to use, since it uses the GUI provided in the user dialog.
User friendly screens are provided.
The usage of software increases the efficiency, decreases the effort.
It has been thoroughly tested and implemented.
